“Fans rally around cherished Coronation Street actor after heartbreaking loss”

A Coronation Street star has been met with an outpouring of support from fans after laying the ashes of a beloved family member to rest.
Adam Rickitt, who played Nick Tilsley on the long-running ITV soap, made his debut in 1997 and quickly became a fan favourite.
He left the show in 1999 to pursue a pop career but returned for a two-year stint from 2002 to 2004. Since then, Adam has stayed busy, appearing in shows such as Hollyoaks and BBC’s Doctors.
Off-screen, Adam is married to Good Morning Britain presenter Katy Rickitt. The couple first met in 2011 when Katy interviewed Adam on GMB, according to the Mirror.

Three years later, the couple exchanged vows in a magical winter wedding in December 2014. Sadly, that same month brought heartbreak when their beloved dog Daphne passed away, leaving both Katy and Adam utterly “blindsided” by the loss.
On Sunday (January 4), Katy revealed on Instagram that they had laid Daphne’s ashes to rest. Sharing a heartfelt video montage of Daphne, she wrote: “Today we scattered our baby Daphne in our special place, Tatton Park.”
“She now rests by the same tree as Rufus, with her at the base and him in the branches. This was the spot of our happiest family dog walks, where she would charge the gate and @adamrickitt’s feet!
“The clouds shaped a ‘D’ as we left, and we like to imagine she’s now Princess Daphne, bouncing through a kingdom of blancmange clouds! We’ll always love you, our true baby. Rest peacefully, happy alongside big brother Rufus. Until we meet again xx.”

Supporters quickly flooded the comments with messages of comfort for Katy and Adam. One wrote: “Sending so much love your way, Katy and Adam. I’m truly, deeply sorry.”
Another shared: “Aww, Katy and Adam, I’m sure Princess Daphne and King Rufus are running free together and will be waiting for you all to reunite one day. For now, know they are together and at peace. Love to you all.”
A third offered their condolences: “Bless your hearts, thinking of you. Have fun together in heaven, Rufus and Daphne.”
