“Emmerdale fans are in shock after a first look from the ITV soap reveals a fan-favourite’s death ahead of the historic Coronation Street crossover episode.”

Emmerdale has stunned fans by killing off a fan favourite ahead of tonight’s special Corriedale crossover.
ITV has been teasing the historic episode, which brings together characters from both Coronation Street and Emmerdale, with the latest preview causing a major reaction. In it, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) is killed, with the first look showing his body wrapped in a tarpaulin being dragged through the village.
The identity of his killer remains a mystery. Several characters appear suspicious, including Rhona Goskirk, Marlon Dingle, and Laurel Thomas. April Windsor has also been implicated.
As for who is innocent, Ray had killed his adopted mother, Celia Daniels, on New Year’s Day, and she confessed to killing Bear Wolf, meaning Ray couldn’t have been responsible for that incident.

The latest twist unfolded just ahead of the historic crossover between the soaps, which is set to revolve around a “catastrophic” car crash.
Characters including Hordley and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), along with Weatherfield favourites such as David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), Carla Connor (Alison King), and Ken Barlow (William Roache), could all face devastation.
Perhaps most intriguingly, fans will get the chance to vote and decide which characters will meet in the historic episode. Last year, viewers were invited to submit their dream pairings, which were then narrowed down to four. All four scenes were written and filmed, with the winning duo yet to be revealed.

ITV bosses will close the voting 15 minutes before the episode airs, allowing viewers to help choose the correct ending during the show.
Details have been kept tightly under wraps, but fans believe they may have worked out which Weatherfield character could die. One keen Reddit user even predicted the death of a beloved character, backing up their theory with clues.
They wrote: “I feel almost certain that Billy will die in Corriedale, and here’s why. It’s widely known that Billy’s exit is coming, though it hasn’t been confirmed that it will happen in Corriedale.
“Daniel Brocklebank posted on Instagram about his last filming day with Harriet Bibby on November 17th. As we know, Coronation Street is filmed 6–8 weeks in advance. Counting six weeks from November 17th brings us to January 5th—the date of Corriedale.
