Corriedale introduced a new mystery on Monday, as a mysterious woman was spotted fleeing the car crash scene.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans were left puzzled on Monday during Corriedale by a mysterious new character.
In the hour-long special, which saw the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale collide, a devastating multi-vehicle crash sent shockwaves through both soaps.
Amid the gridlocked traffic, one van caught viewers’ attention. A hooded man—later revealed to be Emmerdale’s Graham Foster in a dramatic return—was seen holding a woman hostage in the back.
The woman managed to escape but was injured as she ran into the woods, where she was soon found and rescued by Kit Green.
During the scenes, a tattoo on the woman’s wrist appeared on screen, hinting at a possible connection to Coronation Street’s Shona Platt, played by Julia Goulding.

The camera shifted from Jodie’s tattoo to a similar marking on Shona’s back, highlighting the striking resemblance.
In Tuesday’s episode, both women were in hospital following the car crash. Pregnant Shona was informed she would be moved to Weatherfield General so that she and her baby could be closely monitored.
The mystery woman, later revealed as Jodie, was visibly shocked when she saw Shona and her husband David Platt walk past. A nurse remarked that Jodie looked like she had “seen a ghost,” to which she replied that she was just “still a bit out of it” after the crash. Her panic grew when the nurse mentioned that the police wanted to speak with her to ensure she was okay.

In upcoming spoilers, Jodie’s connection to Shona is set to deepen as she becomes more involved in the family’s life. In forthcoming scenes, Jodie reveals that she was in the same car crash as David and Shona, leaving the couple stunned.
Later, David finds Jodie in the hospital car park experiencing a panic attack. She admits she has nowhere to stay, and eventually, she makes herself at home when David introduces her to Bethany and Lily at No. 8, who quickly take a liking to her.
However, David’s brother, Nick Tilsley, is surprised to find Jodie at No. 8 while the family is at the hospital. Tensions rise when David and Shona return home to discover Nick and Jodie at odds.
Shona soon becomes concerned after noticing bruising on Jodie’s wrist. Jodie explains that she was trying to escape an abusive relationship but ended up in the car crash. But is that really the truth?
With Shona known to have a mystery sister, could Jodie be her estranged sibling—especially given their similar appearance and matching tattoos?
