“Coronation Street star Andy Whyment shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the Corriedale crossover that didn’t make it into the final episode, leaving soap fans devastated.”

Coronation Street and Emmerdale viewers were left disappointed when a hilarious crossover scene was cut from the Corriedale special.
Andy Whyment, best known for playing Corrie’s Kirk Sutherland, took to Instagram to share the unseen clip with fans.
The footage showed Kirk bumping into Emmerdale’s Sam Dingle, played by James Hooton. With both characters known for being a bit slow on the uptake, their meeting provided plenty of laughs.
The duo had become lost while looking for relatives in the hospital and were studying a map together. Kirk asked Sam, “Can you make head or tail of that? I can’t.”
Equally confused, Sam admitted he was just as lost. During their short exchange, they revealed they were trying to track people in A&E after the crash. Sam explained, “Aaron were in one of the cars, Charity in another, and I think our Cain’s been shot again. So…” according to the Express.
He shrugged helplessly, prompting Kirk to respond in astonishment, “That’s a lot! Friends of yours?”

Sam clarified that they were relatives, adding that they belonged to “the Dingle clan.”
The family name instantly amused Kirk. “Dingle? You’re called Dingle?” he asked, before breaking into laughter.
Sam, however, seemed a little hurt. “There’s nowt funny about it,” he replied, prompting Kirk to apologize.
“Anyway, I should get going. Peanut will be wanting her dinner,” Sam said, nodding toward his small sausage dog, which he had brought along to the hospital. He crouched to give the pooch a gentle pat, then looked a little concerned. “I’m not sure they’re allowed in here, you know.”
“Right. Yeah. Course,” Kirk responded. “Good thing I ran into you. Someone with smarts!” Both men laughed, exchanged well-wishes, and went their separate ways.

Andy provided some context for the clip, posting: “Our scene never made CORRIEDALE, but here it is — Kirk and Sam. It was great working with @hootonjames.”
Fans were disappointed to have missed the moment in the broadcast, flooding the comments with their frustration. One wrote, “Brilliant, why wasn’t this aired? Would’ve fit in perfectly.”
Another added, “We were robbed of seeing ‘the meeting of the 2 brain cells’ scene. Hopefully it makes it into the next crossover.”
A third asked, “Why did they cut this out? It’s so good!”
