Teasing what’s in store over the next 12 months, producer Laura Shaw said: “The Dingle family are set to face major repercussions, with Cain at the heart of a significant prostate cancer storyline spanning 2026. Adding to their turmoil, Moira will be arrested for human trafficking, with her arrest timed to coincide with her husband’s diagnosis. Their complex marriage will be tested as they navigate these dark times.”
“The truth behind John Sugden’s death will finally be revealed, as Victoria Sugden’s clever deception — making it appear that John’s death was a suicide — begins to unravel. The sinister Joe Tate knows the truth and possesses damning video evidence, which he plans to use to manipulate the Sugdens, potentially taking control of Butler’s Farm. Robert Sugden is also involved, trying to protect Victoria by planting evidence.”
Laura continued: “After the discovery of Ray Walter’s body, villagers’ secrets will come to light as the mystery surrounding his death is finally solved. Before the end of January, a special flashback week will revisit the night of the murder, revealing which of the multiple suspects is responsible for Ray’s demise.”
