Emmerdale viewers ‘figure out’ who Rhona Goskirk’s mystery caller is in major twist

Posted on January 8, 2026

Following April’s bombshell, Emmerdale showed another secret phone call between Rhona and an unknown caller.

Emmerdale has stirred up more intrigue as Rhona Goskirk made another secret phone call, with viewers speculating about the identity of the mysterious caller.

During Wednesday’s episode in the village (January 7), April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) finally opened up to her family about the harrowing events she endured at the hands of Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and his adoptive mother, Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).

As fans will recall, April and her boyfriend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) were manipulated into selling drugs for the criminals, and April was also forced into sex work.

April believes she has killed a predatory client named Callum by striking him over the head with a bottle in self-defense, but he is in fact still alive.

April is now determined to tell the police everything about Ray and Celia’s criminal operation. However, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and his wife, Rhona (Zoe Henry), were left even more stunned when April revealed to her parents the extent of Celia’s modern slavery scheme on the farm.

Alongside Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson), the concerned parents listened as Dylan and April confirmed that Bear Wolf (Joshua Richard) had been held as a forced worker on the farm for months.

The family remains fearful of further retaliation from Ray and Celia and is unsure how to handle the information, but April insists they must go to the authorities.

Unbeknownst to April and her family, Ray had stabbed Celia in the back, killing her last week. It was later revealed in Corriedale that Ray himself had also been murdered by an unknown assailant.

Following April’s revelation about Bear, Rhona was seen making another mysterious phone call. This was the second cryptic call in a week, and Emmerdale viewers are convinced the caller is Graham Foster.

Rhona’s behaviour became increasingly suspicious after the shocking murder of Ray. During the call, she asked, “Have you done it?”, hinting that she might either be the killer or knows who is responsible, while Ray’s death remains unknown to the public.

Then, in Corriedale on Monday (January 5), Graham (Andrew Scarborough) made a dramatic return, appearing behind the wheel of a van with a young girl named Jodie tied up in the back.

His identity was confirmed when he visited Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) at the hospital, though he did not speak to him. Most people believe Graham is dead, after he was murdered on the show in 2020 by Pierce Harris, just a year after he began dating Rhona.

On Reddit, one viewer admitted: “I’m so confused about Rhona’s mystery phone calls recently, and I don’t know who we’re meant to think it is. It seems to happen every time Ray is mentioned, but also feels strange – it’s just as Graham has returned, so I wonder if it’s him she’s speaking to, and if he might be involved in Ray’s death.”

Another fan commented: “It has to be Graham, right? Seems too much of a coincidence otherwise…”, while a third added: “I was just thinking that earlier today!”

One user joked: “Either Graham or a PPI that keeps ringing her at 4am, so she’s decided to call him back”, with another chiming in: “It has to be Graham – surely!”
