Emmerdale star Chris Bisson has offered fans a rare glimpse into his family life with a social media update.
The 50-year-old actor has been a fixture on the popular ITV soap since joining the cast as Jai Sharma in 2008. Jai has been at the heart of some of the show’s most compelling storylines, including the Corriedale special episode on Monday (January 5).
Jai is also known for his dramatic love life in the village, including his marriage to ex-wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and his affair with Woolpack landlady Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
Off-screen, Chris enjoys a happy life with his long-term partner Rowena Finn. The couple, together since 2006, share two children.

Their son, Harry, was born in 2013, followed by their daughter, Ella Rose, in 2015.
On Friday (January 9), Chris took to Instagram to celebrate his son’s 13th birthday, expressing his “shock” at Harry reaching his teenage years. Sharing a heartfelt photo with his son, Chris smiled proudly at the camera, his arm wrapped around Harry’s shoulder.
In another picture, Chris gazes lovingly at his son, while Harry grins for the camera wearing sunglasses, clearly enjoying his father’s embrace.
The soap star captioned the post: “Happy Birthday to my TEENAGE son & my best mate. Wow… how has that happened… 13 today! We love you.”
Chris’s Emmerdale co-star Laura Norton, who plays Kerry, reacted with a heart emoji, while Fiona Wade, who previously played Priya Sharma, added: “Aww gorgeous! Happy Birthday Harry!!”
