Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, known for portraying Aaron Dingle for many years, has accidentally revealed a spoiler about his character on the ITV soap.
Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller has humorously admitted he’s worried about being “axed” from the ITV soap after teasing a spoiler about his character, Aaron Dingle.
The beloved actor has played Aaron since 2008, quickly becoming a fan favourite through numerous major storylines. From his passionate romance with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to his part in the recent dramatic Corriedale crossover, Aaron’s journey has been full of memorable drama.
Recently, Danny gave fans a glimpse of Aaron’s edgier side for 2026 — but he quickly followed up with a post saying he was “in fear of losing my job” to clarify the tease.
On Tuesday (January 13), Danny shared a clip on his Instagram Story from his Emmerdale dressing room, standing in front of a mirror and saying: “This year, I decided it’s a new year, a new me. So that means a new Aaron too,” reports the Mirror.
He continued: “Costume asked, ‘Shall we try something different with you?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ They suggested a smarter version of Aaron — still in black, of course — and this is what they came up with.”
Danny then turned the camera to show himself wearing a black high-neck jumper layered under a quilted bomber jacket, joking: “It’s not a turtleneck. I’ve been assured it’s not a turtleneck.” He added with a laugh: “I guess you could call it a ‘turneck’ or a ‘tulneck.’”
Talking about his outfit, Danny wrapped up: “You’ll be able to see this on ITV and ITVX sometime in February. But what do you think — do you like it?”
Danny quickly followed up in another Instagram Story while heading to the Emmerdale studios, reassuring fans: “Just in case I lose my job, I’d better clarify — it’s not live, just a disclaimer.”
Talking about Aaron’s new look, he added: “It’s not a turtleneck, I’ve got a ‘turteneck’ on — half a turtle, for those who didn’t catch the joke. I’m on my way to the studio and can’t wait to show everyone the new Aaron,” before joking: “Honestly, no one will notice and no one will care.”
