A much-loved Coronation Street star has been flooded with support after sharing a sweet baby update online
A Coronation Street favourite has delighted fans after sharing a heart-warming baby update online.
Paula Lane, best known for playing Kylie Platt on Coronation Street and Ella Forster in Emmerdale, revealed last year that she and her husband Tom Shaw were expecting their third child.
The much-loved soap star is already mum to two children — Arthur, born in 2014, and Penny, who arrived in 2016. Earlier this month, Paula thrilled her followers by announcing the safe arrival of her baby boy.
Posting a series of adorable photos of the newest addition to the family on Instagram, Paula wrote:
“Welcome to the ranch, Patrick. We are completely and utterly in love… so longed for… thank you for completing us.”
Now, just days after welcoming baby Patrick, Paula — who exited Emmerdale last year — has given fans a glimpse into how she’s adjusting to life with her newborn.
The TV star shared a series of photos on Instagram capturing moments from the past 10 days, offering a sweet snapshot of her new routine. The images included tender scenes of Paula spending precious time with baby Patrick.
Alongside the post, she wrote:
“The last 10 days with you. My lucky little charm. Endless feeds, cuddles, Monopoly games and gentle dog walks. Cherishing every moment.”
As expected, Paula’s loyal fans quickly filled the comments section with messages of love and congratulations.
One follower wrote: “Congratulations and well done — treasure every single moment xx.”
Another commented: “It’s so lovely to see you and your beautiful baby. I’m so happy for you and your family.”

Paula is best remembered for her role as Kylie Platt on Coronation Street, who was introduced as the sister of Becky McDonald, played by Katherine Kelly. The character later struck up a romance with David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), with the pair eventually marrying.
However, six years after Kylie first appeared on the cobbles, the character met a devastating end in 2016. Viewers watched in heartbreak as Kylie died from fatal stab wounds, collapsing on the street and passing away in the arms of her distraught husband, David.
