Rihanna gave off serious Bet Lynch vibes in an animal print fur coat as she stepped out with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. The rapper has just announced a major world tour and revealed that it was love at first sight when he first laid eyes on RiRi — even though he was being turned away from a nightclub at the time.
Global fashion icon Rihanna seems to be taking style cues from soap legend Bet Lynch these days.
The Fenty Beauty star was spotted wearing a bold animal print coat, reminiscent of the Coronation Street barmaid’s iconic wardrobe.
Rihanna wasn’t at the Rovers Return, however, but out and about in New York with her partner A$AP Rocky, who was promoting his new album, Don’t Be Dumb. The rapper revealed he first fell for Rihanna before he found fame — and was actually being turned away from a nightclub when they first locked eyes.
He explained: “I wasn’t famous at the time, obviously she was Rihanna, and I couldn’t get in. The bouncers wouldn’t let me in. She came out and our eyes met immediately, and I was in a daze. I was a little embarrassed that she caught me arguing with the guard.”
So, did Rihanna help Rocky get into the club? “No!” he joked.
It all worked out in the end, as the couple now share three children. Rocky has since announced a huge 2026 tour, the Don’t Be Dumb World Tour. The 42-date trek, promoted by Live Nation, will give fans their first chance to hear the album live — Rocky’s first full-length release in eight years. The tour kicks off in Chicago on May 27 and hits the UK on August 30 with a show at The O2 in London, followed by dates in Glasgow and Manchester.
The album, Don’t Be Dumb, is “heavily inspired by German expressionism” and features artwork from Rocky’s hero, filmmaker and animator Tim Burton.
Explaining how Tim Burton got involved, A$AP Rocky said: “So I basically had to stalk and harass him for a few years. I went out to Malibu to hang out with him, and he was into it. I saw a sketch on the table, and he said, ‘Every morning, me and my daughter do half of a sketch, then she comes and revises it or completes it.’ They see it as a bond. I see it as, ‘oh, this is valuable.’”
A$AP recently admitted that having children with Rihanna has made him a “loving kind of fella.”
The rapper and the popstar share three children: 4-month-old daughter Rocki Irish, and sons Riot Rose, 2, and RZA, 3. He has also acknowledged that before starting a family, he wasn’t always the nicest person.
A$AP Rocky shared: “I’ve found myself way more emotional now that I have kids. Before children, I was probably a piece of s**t and cold-hearted, but now I think I’m a loving kind of fella, you know? I’ve got a love to give to the world.”
However, the 37-year-old joked that he won’t be so forgiving toward anyone who dates his daughter in the future. When asked how he’d handle her bringing partners home, he said: “I’m gonna pray for them. Yeah, it’s gonna be tough for them indeed.”
Having daughter Rocki Irish has made the rapper “a better man,” he added, though the kids will have to adjust to not seeing as much of their parents while Rocky is on tour.
Rihanna is expected to announce tour dates and a comeback album in 2026, while A$AP Rocky will remain on the road until September.
Rihanna said: “We have to be on the same page, and we’ve always had that in our relationship. Having a baby changes everything, but I’d say it’s only brought us closer.”
