Coronation Street’s Will Driscoll, portrayed by Lucas Hodgson-Wale, is currently at the centre of a troubling grooming storyline. But how old is the actor in real life?
Lucas first appeared on the ITV soap last year after his character Will moved from Hull to Weatherfield with his family, including his father Ben (Aaron McCusker), grandmother Maggie (Pauline McLynn), and Ben’s partner Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), who returned to the show after a seven-year break.
It later emerged that Will had been groomed by his athletics coach Megan (Beth Nixon), who followed him to Weatherfield in order to continue their inappropriate relationship.
Now employed as a teacher at Weatherfield High, Megan has also struck up a romance with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), sparking jealousy and resentment from Will.

So far, Will and Megan’s secret relationship has gone unnoticed, with Will’s family unaware of her true motives. However, a dramatic twist unfolded this month when it was revealed that Megan is pregnant, reports the Mirror.
Although she initially considered having an abortion, Megan ultimately decided to keep the baby and later told Will that he is the child’s biological father. While shocked by the revelation, Will soon shared her happiness and reassured her that he would support her.
In Tuesday’s episode (January 20), concerns over the unborn baby prompted Megan and Will to rush to A&E for medical checks. They came close to being exposed when Will’s father Ben was admitted to the same hospital with chest pains, but the pair managed to avoid being discovered.

Later, Megan reassured Will that their baby was doing well and showed him an ultrasound scan, leaving him thrilled. She then warned that they needed to keep their distance for the time being, at least until they had enough money to escape the cobbles.
Away from the dramatic storyline, Coronation Street marks Lucas Hodgson-Wale’s first television role. While his character Will is depicted as 16, a soap spokesperson has confirmed to Reach that Lucas is actually 17 in real life.
Meanwhile, Beth Nixon, who plays Megan, is currently 25 and will turn 26 later this year. Like Lucas, the Yorkshire-born actress is also making her television debut on Corrie.

However, Beth had previously auditioned for Coronation Street on two separate occasions before finally securing the role of villainous Megan.
“I auditioned for the role of Lauren Bolton, and later for another character who was giving Lauren a hard time in the mother and baby unit,” she explained. “My agent then called and told me about this role and asked if I wanted to audition.”
The part of Lauren ultimately went to actress Cait Fitton, who made her debut on the soap in 2022 and has remained on the show ever since.
