Olivia Frances Brown has joined Coronation Street, taking on the role of Jodie Ramsey.
Coronation Street introduced newcomer Jodie Ramsey, played by Olivia Frances Brown, earlier this month.
Jodie made her first appearance during the explosive Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover event, Corriedale, where she was being held captive in the back of a van by returning Emmerdale character Graham Foster.
She managed to escape during a devastating car pile-up, fleeing into a nearby forest before accidentally knocking herself out on a tree.
When she woke up in hospital, Jodie was shocked to see her estranged sister, Shona Platt, who had also been caught up in the crash.
In this week’s episodes, Jodie confronted Shona about their shared past, accusing her of abandoning her with their abusive parents and showing no concern for her.
In upcoming scenes, Shona confides in her husband, David Platt, that she is tempted to track down their father to uncover the truth about what happened with Jodie.
As Olivia Frances Brown takes centre stage as Jodie, many soap fans have been curious about the actress’s life off the cobbles.
Liverpool-born actress and singer-songwriter Olivia, who is based in Manchester, is engaged to This City Is Ours star James Nelson-Joyce. The couple, together for several years, announced their engagement in a joint post in 2023.
James Nelson-Joyce is best known for his role as Michael Kavanagh in This City Is Ours. His other acting credits include Mount Pleasant, Little Boy Blue, The Nest, Time, The Outlaws, Industry, The Gold, A Town Called Malice, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Reputation, Bird, and A Thousand Blows.
Earlier this week, James, 37, posted a picture of himself as the cover star of jewellery magazine Something About Rocks amid the release of series two of A Thousand Blows.
Responding in the comments, Olivia sweetly gushed over her husband-to-be as she put a series of heart eye emojis.
It comes as the pair shared a glimpse into their festive celebrations with a joint post on Instagram, captioned: “Merry Xmas from JNJ and OFB xxx.”
