“Carl Webster has been scheming on the Coronation Street cobbles for months, and viewers think the truth is finally set to come out.”

Coronation Street fans are convinced that villain Carl Webster’s tangled web of deception is about to collapse, with a dramatic exit believed to be on the horizon.
Carl (Jonathan Howard) arrived on the cobbles last year, revealed as the long-lost brother of Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Debbie (Sue Devaney), and quickly proved he was no angel. From the moment he appeared in Weatherfield, he set about causing chaos.
The smooth-talking schemer has flirted his way through several locals since his arrival, including James Bailey (Jason Callender) and even Kevin’s wife, Abi (Sally Carman).
Carl and Abi later began a passionate affair, which eventually came to light and left Kevin devastated. At the same time, the shady newcomer was secretly stealing money from Debbie’s business while she was coping with her dementia diagnosis.

The manipulative Weatherfield resident was also linked to the hit-and-run that left Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) with life-changing injuries. Abi eventually uncovered Carl’s trail of lies and ended their relationship, according to OK!.
However, Carl’s actions took an even darker turn when he set Debbie up as the driver responsible for the horrific multi-car crash at the Corriedale event, which tragically resulted in the death of Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
Debbie was later hauled before the courts after being charged over the pile-up and shocked those closest to her by pleading guilty. It was later revealed, however, that Debbie is in fact Carl’s biological mother and has taken the blame in a bid to protect him.

As Carl continues to cause chaos on the cobbles, Coronation Street viewers are increasingly speculating about when his lies will finally come to light. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one fan asked: “I wonder when Carl is going to be found out? I hope they don’t drag it out.”

Another viewer suggested Carl’s downfall may not be too far off, commenting: “Surely by summer at the latest?!” A third fan echoed the thought, adding: “Yeah, I think it’ll be in a few months.”

One enthusiastic viewer commented: “At last! I can’t wait for everyone to find out the truth so we can finally see the back of him.”
Sharing a similar view, another fan predicted: “Once it all comes out, he’ll have to leave – no one will want anything to do with him.”
Elsewhere, it was revealed earlier this week that further turmoil is on the way for the Webster family. A soap press release, issued alongside a newly released trailer, teased what’s ahead: *“A vulnerable Debbie, who has taken the blame for Carl after he was behind the wheel that night, braces herself to learn her fate after being charged with causing death by driving while under the influence.
“Kevin knows she’s lying and that Carl was the driver, but with Debbie protecting Carl – now revealed to viewers as her son rather than her brother – it appears her future may be sealed with a prison sentence. Just how long can her secret remain hidden?”
