A Coronation Street actor has confirmed their exit, prompting an outpouring of support from fans

A Coronation Street actor has confirmed their exit following their involvement in the Megan Walsh grooming storyline.
Sinister Megan (Beth Nixon) first arrived on the cobbles last year as the athletics coach to Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), with it later becoming clear that she had been grooming him for several months.
After securing a teaching role at Weatherfield High, Megan also began a relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), much to Will’s frustration and jealousy.
Will and Megan’s secret relationship has remained hidden from those around them, with Will’s family completely unaware of Megan’s dark behaviour. This week, Megan revealed she is pregnant with Will’s baby — a revelation that left him thrilled.

However, Friday’s episode (January 23) revealed that Will was not Megan’s first schoolboy victim. The episode introduced newcomer Lee (Oscar Aldersley), Will’s friend and fellow runner, who had previously been coached by Megan, reports OK!.
After reconnecting with Will, Lee secretly called Megan and left a voicemail confessing how much he missed her.
Eager for a response, Lee later followed Megan to the Rovers, where the pair slipped into the ginnel for a private chat. During the encounter, Megan acknowledged their past but made it clear she was now in a relationship with Daniel.

However, before leaving the cobbles, Lee came clean to Will about his past relationship with Megan. He told him: “I had something going on with her last year. I thought it meant something, but now I realise she was just using me,” before confirming that they had slept together.
Oscar Aldersley, who plays Lee, has now exited the role, with the character’s appearance proving to be short-lived. Just last week, Oscar shared on Instagram that he had finished filming on the long-running soap.
Sharing behind-the-scenes photos from his time on Coronation Street, Oscar wrote in the comments: “What an incredible experience! Thank you to Coronation Street for such an amazing opportunity. It’s been a pleasure working with such a fantastic team over the past couple of months. Hopefully I’ll see you all back on the cobbles again soon!”
Oscar’s Instagram post was quickly flooded with supportive messages from fans and fellow cast members. Beth Nixon, who plays Megan, commented: “Ahh, I had so much fun working with you! Can’t wait to see it all on screen.”
Sydney Martin, best known for her role as Betsy Swain, also showed her support by liking the post. Fans joined in too, with one writing: “Well done, Oscar!” while another added: “Can’t wait — so happy for you!”
