Emmerdale fans spot signs of a new affair — and it could end badly for one villager

Emmerdale fans are convinced a new romance is beginning after an unexpected moment in the latest episode.
During Tuesday night’s instalment of the ITV soap (January 27), Graham Foster, played by Andrew Scarborough, made another surprise return to the village. His appearance followed his brief visit after the Corriedale episode, as well as flashback scenes linked to the murder of Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
Graham was famously killed off in a whodunnit storyline six years ago, with Kim Tate (Claire King) suspected of being behind his death — a loss that left his ward, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), heartbroken.
In an unexpected twist, Graham paid a visit to the veterinary surgery to see his former lover, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), once again. This came after their initial reunion a few weeks ago, with Rhona still keeping the truth about Graham’s fate under wraps.

“You said not to pursue it and there was no need,” Graham told her as Rhona questioned his reasons for returning to he village.
“Rumour has it it’s the woman Celia,” Graham added, before Joe abruptly walked into the surgery and interrupted their conversation.
Later in the episode, Kim made a comment to Joe about the “dead staying dead” before Graham made an entrance and said, “That’s where she was wrong.”

The episode ended on a dramatic high as Joe and Kim stood frozen in disbelief, staring at Graham after his shocking return.
While Graham’s reappearance sent shockwaves through Home Farm, some Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve already spotted sparks flying between him and Rhona.
Rhona is currently married to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), with the couple having tied the knot in August 2022. However, their marriage has been under strain following months of torment from Ray and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths), leading viewers to question whether Rhona could be tempted back into Graham’s arms.

Emmerdale viewers are increasingly convinced that Rhona is on the brink of an affair. Taking to X, one fan wrote: “#Emmerdale Oh please let Graham stay! We need him back to stir things up with Rhona…”
Another viewer speculated: “What are the chances of a Graham and Rhona affair happening behind Marlon’s back this year? #Emmerdale”
A third added: “#Emmerdale Would Rhona leave Marlon for Graham?”
Meanwhile, another fan posed the big question: “Would you like to see a Rhona and Graham reunion?”
