Next week on Coronation Street: 8 spoilers ranging from Bernie’s fallout to a fresh Jodie mystery

Posted on January 30, 2026

Explosive scenes are coming to Coronation Street next week on the popular ITV soap.

Coronation Street has been full of drama in 2026, from the Corriedale crash to newcomer Jodie Ramsay, and Carl Webster’s tangled web of lies catching up with him.

This week’s episodes saw Kevin Webster struggling after his wife Abi left him for his brother Carl, only to split from Carl once she discovered his deceit. Kevin is also burdened by knowledge of Carl’s other lies, including the hit-and-run that almost killed Tyrone Dobbs and the swap of his sister Debbie in the car following Carl’s drink-driving crash during the Corriedale incident.

However, Kevin lacks the evidence to expose Carl, and Debbie—recently revealed as Carl’s biological mother—refuses to speak badly about him. She even took the blame for the crash, fully aware that Carl was responsible.

In emotional scenes this week, Abi discovered Kevin asleep in a customer’s car and confided in Debbie about her worries for him, noting that it’s clear he isn’t taking care of himself or his business.

Elsewhere, Roy Cropper has recently developed a “strong bond” with a woman named Alice. Roy began corresponding with prisoners as part of a pen-pal scheme and started writing to Alice, whose son is in prison. But it quickly became clear that Alice isn’t what she seems.

On Thursday’s episode, a man in his fifties visited the café, introducing himself as Mal, Alice’s husband. Shocked, Roy tried to explain the situation, leaving Mal devastated. Mal revealed he and Alice had been married for 31 years and have three children, then stormed out after punching Roy.

Meanwhile, after an argument with her husband Dev Alahan, Bernie Winter went out drinking with the girls. She had several shots, intending to go home, but got distracted at Chariot Square bar, drank even more, and ended up joining Mal at his hotel room for an after-party, where they took drugs.

Things escalated when Mal made a pass at Bernie, which she rejected, and the episode ended with her passed out in a nightclub toilet cubicle, with no explanation of how she got there or what happened in between.

The situation became even more awkward when Mal later approached Bernie on the cobbles, especially since he is the electrician called to fix the electricity in Roy’s flat.

Meanwhile, with the sudden arrival of Shona Platt’s estranged sister Jodie, it’s clear she’s hiding many secrets.

Here’s a look at the biggest spoilers for next week…

Bernie has another run-in with Mal

Bernie encounters Mal at the Rovers. She quietly talks to him, and he promises to keep their secret and leave once his work at Roy’s is done.

Shona locates her family.

Shona succeeds in getting the phone number of her dad’s old friend, Bernard Bennett.

Debbie takes the blame for Carl’s wrongdoings.

Debbie appears in court and is glad to have the support of Ronnie Bailey, Kevin Webster, Abi Webster, and Ryan Connor.

Todd loses his temper with Sarah as he deals with Theo’s abuse.

When Sarah Barlow reminds Todd Grimshaw that he owes Harry £10 for his sponsored walk, Todd lashes out at her. Will Sarah notice that Todd is struggling?
