Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale spoilers for next week as fans spot major ‘flash-forward’ twist

Posted on February 2, 2026

Soap fans are forecasting huge twists, from a Coronation Street death mystery to Joel Marshall’s prison future in EastEnders and Graham Foster’s return to a love triangle in Emmerdale.

Fans of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders are already convinced that big twists are on the way.

Viewers believe subtle clues point to new romantic storylines and the emergence of a love triangle, while others are predicting the downfall of two villains. There is also speculation surrounding a possible character death, alongside claims that another soap star’s prison storyline could soon be revealed.

Starting with Emmerdale, following Graham Foster’s shock return after being revealed alive six years after his apparent murder, fans think he could soon be drawn into a romantic triangle. Will he reunite with his still-legal wife Kim Tate, or could he reignite his relationship with former lover Rhona Goskirk, Mirror reports.

One fan suggested: “Graham will end up caught in a love triangle with Kim and Rhona, but he’ll secretly be working against Kim in an attempt to free Joe from her control.”

Meanwhile, other viewers questioned whether Graham could ultimately play a role in bringing an end to Joe Tate’s villainous behaviour. One theory read: “I’m hoping Graham’s return will have a positive impact on Joe and make him reconsider some of his recent decisions involving Robert, Victoria and Moira.”

Coronation Street spoilers

Turning to Coronation Street, the major death mystery set to play out later this year via a flash-forward has sparked a wave of fan theories. Some viewers are convinced they’ve already worked out who the victim will be, with one suggesting: “The only explanation for how many storylines Carl is involved in right now is that he’s going to be the victim in the Corrie whodunnit flash-forward. Abi, Kevin, Tyrone, Debbie, Ryan, Jodie, Ronnie and Theo would all be suspects.”

Another fan speculated that the flash-forward will consist of brief snapshots of the potential victim’s family, with characters shown in happy moments before the shocking discovery. They claimed it would mirror the style of a Christmas Day opening, featuring scenes such as Swarla planning their wedding, the Platts with Harper, laughter in the pub — before ending with the body being found.

Putting the death mystery aside, some viewers believe they have already worked out who will ultimately expose Theo Silverton, with many convinced the same person could also be responsible for bringing child predator Megan Walsh to justice. One fan said they want DS Swain to take down both villains, suggesting that during an interview with Todd she may begin to recognise similarities between Theo’s behaviour and her own past experiences with Becky, prompting her to confide in Carla.

Another echoed the theory, predicting that Lisa will be the one to finally bring Theo down. They suggested she would question Todd with sensitivity, gather evidence, and gradually realise parallels between Theo’s actions and her own abusive relationship, leading to a powerful personal journey of understanding and healing — supported by the Connor-Swains, particularly Carla.

Elsewhere, one Corrie fan predicted a redemption storyline for returning character Lou Michaelis, suggesting she could form a bond with Debbie during her time in prison and look out for her while she is inside.

EastEnders spoilers

Meanwhile, EastEnders fans are abuzz with speculation that Joel Marshall could avoid a lengthy prison sentence following his recent court appearance.

The teenager brutally attacked his stepmother, Vicki Fowler, and faced a string of serious charges including grievous bodily harm, voyeurism, and the making and distribution of indecent images of a child. Some viewers believe he may receive a short custodial sentence after pleading guilty, potentially leaving the door open for a future return to Albert Square. One fan admitted: “My intrusive thoughts are telling me Joel is going to get away with it.”

Others strongly disagreed, with one viewer insisting: “They cannot let Joel out of prison,” while another added: “If Joel only gets up to a year, surely he’d have to come back at some point.”

Another theory suggested the storyline is already laying the groundwork for Joel’s reintegration, with one fan asking whether the show is setting him up to return to the Square after a year. Another echoed the idea, predicting that producers are planning a comeback further down the line.

It has also been speculated that Olivia may have hired a publicist with close ITV connections, which some viewers believe could prove to be the “perfect solution” to the situation.
