A former Emmerdale actor has posted a video from the Coronation Street set after signing up to the ITV soap.

An Emmerdale actress has announced she’s joining Coronation Street, sharing her excitement in a video filmed on set.
Kelli Hollis first appeared on Emmerdale in 2011 as Ali Spencer, the mother of Sean (Luke Roskell) and Amelia (Daisy Campbell). Her character departed the village in 2015 to start a new life in Liverpool, before later being written out entirely when Ali was killed off-screen in a car crash in 2018.
After leaving the soap, Kelli made a major lifestyle change by moving to Thailand. There, she embarked on a completely different career path, running a cannabis bar called La Choza Pratumnak, where marijuana is legal for personal use.
Now back in the UK, Kelli has confirmed she’s landed a role on rival ITV soap Coronation Street. Taking to TikTok, she shared a video from her first day on set, captioning it: “MY 1ST DAY AT CORRIE. SO EXCITING.”

“Oh my God, what a start to the day! I’m here at Corrie, absolutely shattered – and not because of the work,” she laughed, speaking to fans from her dressing room. “I’ve already filmed two scenes this morning, and I’ve still got two more to do this afternoon.”
Kelli went on to explain that her tiredness was down to reconnecting with familiar faces. “I’m exhausted from seeing so many people,” she said. “There are loads of crew members here that I’ve worked with on other projects before – it’s honestly amazing.”
She also gushed about the cast, adding: “And then there’s the cast! The lovely Jane [Hazlegrove] – I worked with her on Clink. When she heard I was on set, she literally came running over.”

Last year, Kelli spoke candidly about her surprising new chapter in Pattaya, where her partner Martin helps her run the La Choza Pratumnak bar.
“You only get one life, and that’s something I’ve really come to understand over the past few years,” she told the Daily Star. “Losing friends, and seeing a close friend lose a child, makes you reassess what truly matters.”
She continued: “You have to go after what you want because nothing is guaranteed. Tomorrow isn’t promised. I’m nearly 50 now and my attitude is basically, ‘forget it – just go for it.’ There’s no sense in holding yourself back with fear. I’ve been incredibly lucky in my life, and so many opportunities have come my way.”
