“Coronation Street has named five characters who could be killed off in April, but fans are convinced they already know who it will be.”

A Coronation Street character is set to be killed off in the coming months, and fans are already claiming they “know” who it will be.
On Monday (February 16), the long-running ITV soap aired a special flashforward episode, revealing five residents who could be in danger this April.
Evil Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), abusive Theo Silverton (James Silverton), fiery Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), troubled Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown), and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) are all at risk, each with a potential reason to meet a brutal fate.
During the episode, a police interview is shown in the near future on April 23, 2026, between officers and a tense, anxious Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), who discovers the body.

As the episode returned to the present, viewers saw how the actions of the five characters could ultimately lead to their potential deaths two months later.
Speaking about the flashforward twist, producer Kate Brooks explained that the special episode will provide a conclusion to the current storylines, weaving them seamlessly into the flashforward.
She said: “I don’t think I’ve ever told a story that involves so many different character groups. Everyone is impacted—everyone is affected by this storyline. There are so many twists and turns.”

Fans are already speculating about who might be killed off, and most suspect it will be predator Megan. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer wrote: “As much as I want it to be Theo or Carl, I think it could be Megan…
“It’s said to impact many characters, so if Sam exposes her and Will, it will affect the Tilsley/Platt family, the Driscolls, and also the Barlows, since she’s dating Daniel.”

Another fan commented: “My money is on Megan.” Echoing this, a third added: “I think it’ll be Megan or Theo, but I hope it’s not Theo. That would be too easy for him—he needs to face the consequences of his actions.”
A fourth wrote: “If Carl gets killed, how will Debbie get out of prison? Maggie is probably going to be the murderer! Theo must be punished! My thoughts are with Megan.”
Fans will remember that Megan first appeared last year as Will Driscoll’s (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) athletics coach. It was later revealed that she had been grooming Will for months and was pregnant with his child.
