General Hospital spoilers suggest that as fans continue to speculate about who might be holding Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) captive, one familiar name keeps resurfacing: Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
If Peter is, in fact, still alive, could he also be the person responsible for the attempted murder of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)? Anna knows she’s in serious danger, though she hasn’t yet identified her captor. While she runs through a mental list of usual suspects, she remains under constant surveillance in a room that looks more like a college dorm than a prison cell.
At this point, Anna appears to believe her abduction is personal, but there’s reason to suspect it may be tied to events unfolding back in Port Charles while she’s away. Could she be focusing on the wrong threat?
Anna’s Fears Resurface
Ever since Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) arrived in town in dramatic fashion years ago, Anna has questioned whether Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was truly gone. How else could his son have disappeared for seven years without explanation? And how could Faison’s daughter, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), still be alive after dying in her mother’s arms?
The entire situation feels eerily familiar—exactly the kind of elaborate, twisted manipulation Faison was known for. Anna’s suspicions aren’t without reason.
Peter’s Vendetta Against Drew
Still, it’s worth remembering just how much Peter despised Drew. As a former Navy SEAL, Drew knew far too many of Peter’s secrets—enough to expose him completely. From Peter’s perspective, Drew was a loose end that needed eliminating.
Even though Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) attacked Peter with a tire iron in 2022, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gone for good. It wouldn’t be surprising if Peter resurfaced suddenly, causing chaos all over again.
As Faison’s son, Peter following in his father’s footsteps—reuniting with his siblings and clearing obstacles from his path—would fit perfectly with his past behavior. Making sure Drew was dealt with before returning to Port Charles would be very much in character.
What Do We Really Know?
So far, all that’s certain is that Anna is being held against her will in a confined space, with her captors providing what they believe she needs. Most recently, a disturbing book left in her room raised even more questions.
The P.K. Sinclair novel—featuring Anna’s face on the cover and signed ominously by “C”—shocked her to the core. The implication that Faison may have survived is terrifying enough, but it also raises concerns about what this could mean for the rest of Port Charles, including Drew, now a congressman and clearly in someone’s crosshairs.
With Faison’s brain preserved in a jar, the likelihood that Peter is behind all of this seems to grow stronger by the day. Could someone like Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) end up taking the blame for Drew’s shooting before the truth comes out?
