Coronation Street legend Jack P Shepherd, best known for playing David Platt, married his wife Hanni earlier this year.
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has received an outpouring of support from fans after sharing a joint marriage announcement with his wife.
The 37-year-old rose to fame after joining the ITV soap in 2000 at just 12 years old. He plays David Platt, the mischievous son of Martin Platt, portrayed by Sean Wilson, and Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth.
Over the years, David has been at the centre of many major storylines, including pushing his mother down the stairs, seeking revenge on villain Richard Hillman, and a harrowing suicide storyline.
Away from the long-running soap, however, Jack’s life is a far cry from his on-screen character, as he is happily married to his wife, Hanni Treweek.
*The couple gathered their nearest and dearest for the special ceremony, which took place in Manchester earlier this year. The wedding came a year after Jack romantically proposed to Hanni during a dream safari holiday.
The loved-up pair were joined by several of Jack’s current Coronation Street colleagues, including Lucy Fallon, Alan Halsall and Tina O’Brien, as well as his former on-screen mum Helen Worth. The celebrations were also attended by some of his showbiz friends, including Celebrity Big Brother co-star Chris Hughes.
This Christmas marked the first time Jack and Hanni celebrated the festive season as husband and wife, with the pair taking to social media to share highlights from their celebrations.
In one snap, Jack and Hanni can be seen dressed in stunning outfits as they pose in front of a Christmas tree, while another photo shows Hanni proudly displaying her sparkling wedding rings.*

Friends and fans were quick to flood the comments with messages of congratulations and festive well-wishes. One follower wrote: “Beautiful photos, beautiful couple,” while another described them as a “power couple.” A third added: “Looks amazing.”
“Happy Christmas, Mr and Mrs Shepherd,” gushed one fan, as another commented: “You both look lush.”*

In a trailer for the special episode airing on January 5, Shona and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who is also pregnant, are shown in distress following a car crash. The dramatic scenes leave viewers wondering whether Shona and David will be okay.*
