Ex-Emmerdale actor and Strictly star Lewis Cope has teased a mysterious new TV project after posting a cryptic script photo on Instagram.
Strictly Come Dancing star Lewis Cope is set to make a return to our screens after teasing a new project with a cryptic social media post.
The 30-year-old actor has reportedly received a wave of offers for various roles following his stint on the BBC hit show.
His appearance on the dance competition catapulted the former soap star into the spotlight. Lewis, best known for playing Nicky Milligan on Emmerdale from 2022 to 2024, has now teased fans with hints of an upcoming project that remains shrouded in mystery.
On his Instagram Stories, he shared a photo of a script with his name on it, though the title of the series or film remains hidden, keeping the project completely under wraps.
It appears production is already underway, as Lewis later shared a mirror selfie from what seems to be a dressing room on set, smiling broadly, according to Wales Online.
This comes after the star revealed details about the numerous television opportunities he’s been receiving and confirmed that he is returning to his acting career.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “The attention that Strictly generates and the viewing figures it attracts are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The offers have been pouring in, which is so lovely.”
He added: “I loved my time on Strictly, but I’m an actor at heart and I can’t wait to return to the screen.
“It’ll be fantastic to be back on set, doing what I love. I’m glad the focus is shifting back to my acting. I’ll be on television very soon.”
Outside of TV, Lewis is also exploring the possibility of a West End role, having honed his dancing skills on the show.
He explained: “The wonderful thing about doing Strictly was performing in front of a live audience and feeling their reaction. That’s something I’d also get from the West End, which would be amazing.”
Reflecting on his Strictly journey, he added: “It has been more than I could have ever hoped for. If someone had told me at the start that I’d make it through 11 weeks on the show, I’d have been over the moon and snapped their hand off.
“So, a huge thank you to the entire show and everyone involved for creating a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, and express themselves. It’s been an incredible experience and a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”
