Coronation Street fans ‘reveal’ Theo Silverton’s downfall after spotting major clue

Posted on December 16, 2025

Monday night’s Coronation Street featured disturbing scenes involving Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton

Coronation Street viewers believe they have worked out Theo Silverton’s downfall after Monday’s special episode focused on Todd Grimshaw’s harrowing abuse ordeal.

Theo arrived on the cobbles earlier this year as Todd’s new love interest, but his darker side soon emerged. He began exerting control over Todd, attempting to dominate every aspect of his life while isolating him from friends and family.

In recent episodes, the abuse has escalated into violent physical attacks. Terrified of what Theo might do next, Todd secretly installed hidden cameras inside their flat in an attempt to protect himself.

On Monday night, the episode was uniquely told through the lens of multiple recording devices, including Todd’s hidden camera, CCTV, dashcams, video doorbells and police body-worn cameras. A series of flashbacks exposed the disturbing reality of what had been happening behind closed doors.

After a series of disturbing scenes throughout the week that showed Theo controlling and abusing Todd, Todd finally reached breaking point when he discovered that Theo had been secretly tracking his movements. He confronted his abhorrent partner, leading to a highly charged showdown.

During the confrontation, Theo attempted to attack Todd as Todd made it clear he was ending the relationship, demanding Theo stop his behaviour for good and leave the flat immediately.

Theo insulted Todd, calling him “vile,” before shoving him. Todd defended himself by pushing Theo away, sending him crashing into a coffee table, where he was left unconscious.

The commotion outside alerted concerned Weatherfield residents, who called the police. Todd was arrested at the scene, while Theo was taken to hospital. Todd refused to disclose the full truth, insisting it had been an accident. In a troubling twist, Theo was treated as the victim, with officers even giving him domestic abuse support leaflets.

Both Todd and Theo later returned to the flat, where Theo once again began manipulating Todd. Matters took a darker turn when Theo uncovered the hidden surveillance equipment Todd had installed.

Confronting him, Theo demanded: “Have you been filming us? Have you been filming me, Todd? Is that a camera? Have you been filming us?” as he shoved the device into Todd’s face in the episode’s closing moments.

Taking to Twitter, now known as X, viewers began speculating about whether the footage already recorded could be used as evidence against Theo, potentially leading to his arrest.

One viewer wrote: “Surely the police will be able to watch the earlier footage?? #Corrie,” while another commented: “Good on Todd’s cameras for collecting evidence!” A third added: “I’m hoping Todd has those cameras running and can gather proof to get Theo locked up — but it’s #Corrie, so it’s never that straightforward, is it?”
