Coronation Street’s David Platt actor tied the knot with his wife Hanni in a star-studded ceremony last summer

Coronation Street icon Jack P Shepherd has been flooded with support as his wife celebrates his 38th birthday.
Jack was just 12 years old when he first joined the ITV soap in 2000, taking on the role of David Platt, the troublesome son of Martin Platt (Sean Wilson) and Gail Platt (Helen Worth).
Over the years, David has been involved in countless dramatic and dark storylines, including nearly killing his mum by pushing her down the stairs and enduring a heartbreaking suicide storyline.
More recently, viewers have seen David caught up in the explosive Emmerdale crossover crash, which also led to the premature birth of his daughter, who now requires life-saving surgery.

Jack was quick to reshare the post on his own Instagram page, allowing his 519,000 followers to see the loving tribute. In a separate Instagram upload, the actor appears alongside Ben Price, who plays Nick Tilsley, and former Craig Tinker star Colson Smith as they mark the occasion together.
In the short clip, the trio are seen outside late at night after finishing a recording of their On The Sofa podcast, when they suddenly realise it has just turned into Jack’s birthday.
As Colson and Jack discussed the time, Ben jumped in, saying: “Right, I’ll tell you what time it is. It’s one minute past twelve, we’ve just finished recording, and it’s someone’s birthday.”
Jack then joked: “Yeah, it’s the 14th of Jan now,” prompting an excited response from Colson. Jack rounded things off by playfully breaking into an Auld Lang Syne-style dance, usually reserved for New Year celebrations.
Jack’s friends and fans were quick to flood the comments with birthday messages as he celebrated turning 38. One supporter wrote: “Happy birthday from a Corrie fanatic on the east coast of Australia.”
Another commented: “Happy birthday Jacky P! Have a great day x,” while a third added: “Happy birthday Jack. Watched this week’s episode on YouTube – absolutely brilliant.”
Someone else praised the podcast too, saying: “Happy birthday Jack. What a fantastic YouTube episode. I can’t wait for the next one – I didn’t think On The Sofa could make me laugh more than it already does!”
