Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, 49, welcomes another grandchild as her daughter gives birth.

Posted on December 26, 2025

Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh has revealed she has welcomed her fourth grandchild, hailing her daughter Emilie Cunliffe as a “warrior.”

Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh was full of festive joy as she announced the arrival of her fourth grandchild in a touching Christmas message.

The 49-year-old actress, best known for her role as Michelle Connor, took to Instagram to share the happy news, showering praise on her daughter Emilie Cunliffe and son-in-law Mikey in an emotional post.

“What an incredible Christmas present!” Kym wrote, sharing sweet snaps of the newborn alongside his siblings. She then revealed his name, adding: “Welcome to the world, Bobby Saint Mykola Hoszowskyj!”

Gushing over her growing family, Kym continued: “He’s absolutely beautiful. I’m so proud of my girl Emilie – she’s a true warrior – and of my son-in-law Mikey for being her strength today. We’re all completely in love. Merry Christmas, everyone.”

Unsurprisingly, fans and friends flooded the comments with congratulatory messages, including Kym’s former Hear’Say bandmate Danny Foster, who shared a red heart emoji, reports OK!.

One fan commented: “What a beautiful Christmas present. Congratulations to you all,” while another simply wrote: “Huge congratulations to the whole family.”

Replying to one of the messages, Kym shared more details about baby Bobby’s arrival, revealing just how quickly everything happened. She wrote: “He weighed 7lb 6oz and it was a very fast labour. She got to the hospital at 10.25 and he was born at 10.35, hahaha.”

The Waterloo Road actress, who affectionately refers to herself as “Yaya,” already adores Emilie’s son Teddy and stepdaughter Polly, as well as her son David’s little boy, Clay.

Although Kym is most widely recognised for her long-running role as Michelle Connor on Coronation Street, she has taken on a variety of projects since leaving the soap in 2019. These include portraying Nicky Walters in the BBC school drama Waterloo Road.

More recently, she appeared in Channel 5’s thriller The Imposter, starring alongside Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne and singer Dannii Minogue, which was filmed in Melbourne, Australia.

Since leaving the cobbles, Kym has also taken to the stage in a variety of plays and musicals, including Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmatians and Abigail’s Party.

Looking ahead to the New Year, Kym is preparing to hit the road once more, touring the UK in the stage adaptation of Single White Female. She will be starring alongside EastEnders actress and TV chef Lisa Faulkner.

Kym’s daughter Emilie is no stranger to performing either, having previously shared the stage with her mum during the UK tour of Greatest Days: The Musical. The Take That jukebox production saw Emilie play a younger version of Kym’s character.
