Coronation Street unveils five possible murder victims in a groundbreaking episode.

Posted on February 16, 2026

Coronation Street airs a flashforward episode revealing five potential murder victims after Betsy Swain finds a body on the day her mum Lisa marries Carla Connor.

Coronation Street has confirmed the identities of five possible murder victims after viewers were taken into the future in the soap’s much-anticipated flash-forward episode.

Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster have all been named as characters who could potentially meet a deadly fate. The special instalment — which is already available to stream on ITVX and airs tonight at 8.30pm on ITV — begins with a police interview set on April 23, 2026.

As the story unfolds, a shaken Betsy Swain is seen telling detectives that she discovered the body of someone she knew. Dressed in bridesmaid attire, she explains she had been at her mum Lisa Swain’s wedding to Carla Connor, but was heading into the town centre when she came across the disturbing discovery.

As the episode returns to present-day events, viewers begin to see how the choices of these five characters could lead to their possible deaths in two months’ time.

Megan Walsh becomes increasingly embroiled in deceit as she continues to manipulate the vulnerable teenager Will Driscoll. Could her hidden schemes soon come to light, and might someone decide she must face the ultimate consequences for her actions?

At the same time, Maggie Driscoll is shown willing to do anything to protect those she cares about. Having given Will a false alibi to prevent him from being charged over the Christmas Day assault on Daniel Osbourne, could uncovering the truth about Megan and Will put her own life at risk?

Meanwhile, Carl Webster has cut all ties after leaving Debbie to take the blame for the Corriedale incident that led to Billy Mayhew’s death.

Ever since learning that Debbie is his mother rather than his sister, he has spiralled into a destructive path, and his constant tormenting of family members and locals alike has left many hoping he would vanish for good.

Theo Silverton’s manipulative control over Todd has reached alarming levels, and with their wedding approaching, the question remains whether Todd will confide in his friends about his suffering before it’s too late. Will he take matters into his own hands to end his ordeal, or might someone else intervene first?

Meanwhile, the Platt family has reluctantly taken in Shona’s estranged sister, Jodie Ramsey. Yet Jodie has been hiding secrets and seems to have become involved with some shady figures from her past.

Could trouble follow Jodie to Weatherfield, or will her choices spark chaos for those closest to her?

As the episode nears its climax, we flash forward again to April 23rd, with the five standing on the cobbles while Lisa and Carla’s wedding fireworks light up the night sky. Amid the dazzling display, a battered Carl, a panicked Jodie, a threatening Maggie, a bloodied Megan, and a secretive Theo peer into the darkness.

In the final moments, Betsy Swain’s terrified scream pierces the air — but which resident of Weatherfield will meet their fate on April 23rd?
