Tuesday’s Coronation Street episode included a mention of Sophie and Rosie Webster

Coronation Street fans were quick to react to Tuesday’s episode following an update involving Sophie and Rosie Webster.
Recently, Tim and Sally Metcalfe became foster parents to Brody, Joanie, and Shanice after their mother, Lou Michaelis, was sent to prison. This follows Mick Michaelis also being imprisoned for the murder of PC Craig Tinker.
Joanie and Shanice have been left heartbroken as they face their first Christmas without their mum. After discovering they wouldn’t be able to visit her on Christmas Day, Joanie expressed her disappointment.
To help the children feel more at home, Sally decorated a Christmas tree and allowed Joanie to take charge. Pulling out a box of decorations, Joanie held up a homemade Santa ornament and asked, “Who made this one? Sophie or Rosie?” Sally replied with a smile, “Is that the good one? Oh, Sophie!” and the two shared a laugh.

Soap fans will remember that Sophie and Rosie are Sally’s daughters with her ex-husband Kevin Webster. Sophie, portrayed by Brooke Vincent, was last seen on the cobbles in 2019, while Rosie, played by Helen Flanagan, last appeared in Weatherfield in 2018.
Taking to Twitter (now X), fans were quick to react to the mention, with many calling for the sisters to return. One viewer wrote: “Sophie and Rosie mentions are everywhere lately. Come home, girls! #Corrie.”
On the topic of a potential return, another fan commented: “As a teenager, Sophie was an absolute joy to watch. I loved seeing the Webster family together, and she brought so much comedy. I even enjoyed her later storylines — please come back! #Corrie #CorrieCountdown.”

Another fan shared: “I’ve always thought the four of them as a unit was really special, and I’d love to see them all back on the street. Bring back Rosie and Sophie! #Corrie,” while someone else added: “I reckon Tim and Sally’s foster kids would love to have Rosie and Sophie around #Corrie.”
Meanwhile, Rosie actress Helen Flanagan, 35, recently revealed she would be keen to return to Coronation Street.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “I’d love to go back to Coronation Street, but they just haven’t asked me. I live nearby, and I’d absolutely come back if they did — but so far, they haven’t.”
