Coronation Street star Vicky Myers received an outpouring of heartfelt messages this week.
Fan-favourite Vicky Myers was overwhelmed with heartfelt messages after taking to social media to express her gratitude for the incredible response to her milestone celebration. This news comes as it was revealed that an Emmerdale star will soon be joining the cobbles.
The beloved Coronation Street actress, who plays DS Lisa Swain on the ITV soap, was celebrating her 50th birthday on Thursday, February 5. As the day drew to a close, she shared her amazement at being left “speechless” by the outpouring of well-wishes.
On X (formerly Twitter), Vicky wrote: “Wow, you have achieved the impossible. I am speechless! ‘Thank you’ doesn’t feel enough, but it’s all I have right now. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full. THANK YOU.”
She added: “All of your lovely messages will be read, and gifts opened this weekend when I have the time to give them the attention and respect they deserve. Thank you so very much. Much love.”
One fan shared: “Wishing you the happiest birthday, Vicky! Thank you for being you.”
Another added: “Happy Birthday, girl! We appreciate you so much!”

Vicky Myers first appeared as DS Lisa Swain on Coronation Street in 2021, before becoming a permanent cast member in early 2024, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Viewers will recall that the detective sergeant was initially introduced to investigate the tragic hate crime attacks on Nina Lucas and her partner Seb Franklin, which ultimately led to Seb’s death.
Since then, Lisa has been involved in numerous other investigations. However, it wasn’t until the start of last year that Vicky secured a permanent role, with Lisa remaining a key character in Weatherfield, particularly after beginning a romance with Carla Connor.
However, this wasn’t Vicky’s first time on the cobbles. Her very first appearance on Coronation Street was as a nurse in 1998.
She worked alongside Denise Welch, who played Natalie Horrocks, and Philip Middlemiss during the storyline surrounding Des Barnes’ death, in what was largely a background role. Later, she returned briefly as the motorist who helped after Tyrone and Molly Dobbs were involved in a car crash in the countryside.
