EastEnders’ Lacey Turner Celebrates a Special Milestone on Social Media
EastEnders star Lacey Turner has shared an emotional update just months after leaving the soap. The 37-year-old actress is best known for her role as Stacey Slater in the beloved BBC drama.
Lacey first arrived in Walford in 2004, portraying Stacey until 2010, before returning in 2014. She recently took another temporary break from Albert Square to focus on her family life, which includes her three young children, as well as pursuing other personal and professional projects.
During her time on the Square, Stacey was at the heart of numerous unforgettable storylines, including her affair with Max Branning (Jake Wood), her bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis arcs, her involvement in Archie Mitchell’s (Larry Lamb) death, and enduring harassment from Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).
While on her extended hiatus, Lacey has celebrated a milestone as her youngest child, Gipsy, turned one. She is also mother to six-year-old Dusty and four-year-old Trilby, whom she shares with her husband, Matt Kay, reports the Mirror.

On Tuesday (January 13), Lacey Turner shared an adorable Instagram post featuring a compilation of snapshots of her daughter, set to Fleetwood Mac’s 1982 hit Gypsy.
She captioned the post: “This is ONE!! A whole year of you, baby! Today and every day we celebrate you!!! (and your funny face). Love you forever and ever.”
Several of Lacey’s EastEnders co-stars left heartfelt messages in the comments. Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar, wrote: “Happy Birthday, Gypsy. Hope life is treating you well, Lacey.”

Natalie Cassidy, best known for playing Sonia Fowler on the soap, commented: “How is that a year ago! Happy birthday, gorgeous one” with a heart emoji, while Jessie Wallace, who portrays Kat Slater, added: “Happy birthday, darling Gypsy.”
Devoted soap fans also shared their love in the comments. One wrote: “Happy 1st Birthday, beautiful princess.” Another remarked: “Looks just like her mummy. You make beautiful babies.”
A third gushed: “Aww, isn’t she adorable. Beautiful! Happy first birthday,” while another fan added: “Can’t believe how quickly the children have grown. Gorgeous!!!”

Lacey’s husband, Matt Kay, shared his own Reel to mark their daughter’s special day. He wrote: “Gipsy… you stole my heart a year ago today and it’s never been the same since. Where has this year gone? Seriously! Happy birthday, my darling angel. I love you so, so much.”
Although Stacey is currently on a break from Albert Square, Lacey has reassured fans that her absence is only temporary. In a heartfelt farewell clip on YouTube last year, the mum-of-three was shown receiving warm goodbyes from the cast and crew on her final filming day, telling them: “I will be back in a minute.”
She continued: “Thank you, everyone. I am coming back, I won’t be long. I can’t do speeches, but thank you. I love you all very much — this is a very special place to work.”
