“Lisa Riley’s social media post had Emmerdale fans all reacting the same way”
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has fans buzzing after sharing an update with her co-star Danny Miller. The 49-year-old actress is best known for playing Mandy Dingle on the long-running ITV soap, first appearing from 1995 to 2001 before making her return in 2019.
Danny, 34, became a household name as Aaron Dingle, making his debut in 2008. Over the years, he’s been part of several major storylines and has become a fan favourite.
Having worked together for years, Lisa and Danny have developed a strong friendship both on and off screen. Recently, Lisa gave fans a sweet glimpse of their bond, posting a photo with Danny on Instagram.
In the snap, both stars beamed at the camera, with Lisa leaning in towards her co-star. Captioning the picture, she simply wrote: “Trouble,” accompanied by several smiling emojis.
It didn’t take long for fans to flood the comment section, with many urging the show’s bosses to give the pair more scenes together.
One fan wrote: “Love when you two are in the same scene.” Another added: “I need to see more of Lisa and Danny together.”
A third chimed in: “Brilliant pic of two special humans in the Emmerdale family (not forgetting the I’m a Celeb family too).” Others expressed similar admiration, with one saying: “I absolutely adore you and Danny,” and another commenting: “Great actors! Want to see you both together on Emmerdale.” Meanwhile, one fan simply wrote: “Love love love this.”
The update comes shortly after Lisa was left frustrated, having to publicly dismiss pregnancy rumours in a lengthy Instagram rant.
Back in 2018, the 49-year-old revealed that she and her partner Al were planning to try IVF. However, fertility tests showed that her remaining eggs weren’t of the quality doctors had hoped for, meaning IVF might not be successful.
The couple came to terms with the news and accepted that having children might not be in their future.
Recently, Lisa took to Instagram to address and dismiss pregnancy rumours. She wrote: “Hi everybody, this is no-one’s fault apart from fake news, clickbait, and… oh my God, what world are we living in.
“I am 100 per cent not pregnant. I’ve been inundated today with congratulations about that. And you know what makes it even stranger? Only this week on Loose Women, I talked about the fact that Al, my other half, and I couldn’t get pregnant.
“We tried IVF, it didn’t work, yet still, very strange people out there feel the need to clickbait and spread fake news that I am pregnant.”
“Well, I’m not,” she said, holding up her middle finger to the camera, “and honestly, with all this clickbait, AI, and the nonsense the world is becoming… that’s yours. Utter nonsense. Just to clarify, I’m not pregnant. Okay? Thank you! A little clarification would be nice.”
She added: “If I were pregnant, I probably would have told people. Just some food for thought—when you read something, check the person’s social media. If they haven’t said anything, it’s probably fake news. Just putting it out there.”
At the time, Lisa captioned the post: “The truth… FROM ME!! Stop, stop, stop believing all the [lies] on here PLEASE… FAKE NEWS is getting out of hand!!!! #truth,” alongside angry face emojis.
