Emmerdale Twist Reveals Celia’s Real Location in Game-Changing Shock

Posted on January 26, 2026

Emmerdale viewers are convinced a shocking twist is coming in villain Celia Daniels’ storyline.

Emmerdale fans believe they’ve uncovered Celia Daniels’ true whereabouts in a twist that could turn the storyline on its head.

ITV soap viewers will recall that Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and her sinister son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) terrorised several villagers last year. One of their victims was April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), who was lured into their trap while trying to clear her boyfriend Dylan Penders’ (Fred Kettle) mounting debt.

Adding to the horror, it later emerged that Celia and Ray had been holding Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) captive at their farm, along with several other enslaved individuals. Celia’s grip on control began to unravel when Ray confessed he wanted to turn his life around and continue his relationship with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

Following a fierce argument in their kitchen, Ray appeared to stab his mother to death on New Year’s Day. He then seemingly met a similar fate himself, as his body was later seen being dragged through the village shortly before the Corriedale crossover.

After a gripping week of flashback episodes, it was finally revealed that Bear had killed Ray to protect his son, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), from the villain’s attack. In the aftermath, Paddy and Dylan concealed Ray’s body in a depot van, which Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) later drove off without realising the evidence was still inside.

To shield Bear from police questioning, Paddy lied about finding his father and locked him upstairs in his house—a situation reminiscent of Bear’s time on Celia and Ray’s farm.

In Monday’s episode (January 26), now available to stream on ITVX, Paddy approached DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) to check on the investigation into Ray’s murder and Bear’s supposed disappearance. When Walsh revealed that the police were eager to speak to Celia regarding Ray’s murder, Paddy waited until she was out of earshot before sharing the hopeful news with Dylan.

However, by the end of the episode, Paddy’s situation took a turn for the worse when he discovered that Bear had escaped through his bedroom window.

Meanwhile, viewers are still in the dark about where Ray disposed of Celia’s body, sparking a flurry of fan theories about her possible whereabouts—which could have serious consequences for the entire village.

Some Emmerdale fans are convinced that Celia may not be dead after all and could have escaped before making her hasty exit—much like Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who recently returned to the Dales.

One viewer wrote on a Facebook fan page: “I’m still really confused about what happened to Celia’s body. When the police searched the farm there were no bodies, and it was still there the morning Ray died. Bear never mentioned Celia being dead when Paddy brought her up, so I’m left wondering either who moved her body or if she’s actually alive.”

Others shared similar theories. “Yeah, I totally think she’s alive,” commented one fan, while another added, “Celia is definitely not dead. That village needs to watch out.”

A fourth viewer chimed in: “Exactly my thoughts. She must have gotten up and started terrorising another village somewhere. I think she’ll be back.”

Meanwhile, some fans speculate that Bear may have discovered Celia’s body before killing Ray and possibly buried her somewhere on the farm.
