Emmerdale fans are questioning Moira Dingle’s future as trouble mounts because of Celia Daniels

Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) has been arrested for a crime she didn’t commit in Emmerdale, but viewers have noticed a major issue.
As fans know, Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) was holding several vulnerable people captive in the attic of her farmhouse, which is next to Moira’s Butler’s Farm.
The workers, including Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), were forced to live in terrible conditions, working long hours with minimal food. Meanwhile, Moira had entered into a business deal with Celia for turkey farming, only to discover that the drug lord had forged documents in her name.

In addition to the contracts between Moira and Celia, the police also discovered identification documents that Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had hidden on her bookshelf.
Robert had been coerced into hiding the documents by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who was blackmailing Robert’s sister, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), into giving up her share of Butler’s.
If Victoria didn’t comply, Joe threatened to reveal footage showing her killing their brother John (Oliver Farnworth) in the woods—a storyline that occurred during the Coronation Street crossover.
On Wednesday, January 14, police searched Moira’s farmhouse and uncovered the hidden documents. She was subsequently arrested on charges of human trafficking and forced labour, leaving her future as a farmer looking uncertain.

Moira was left in shock as she tried to assert her innocence to DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) at the police station, denying any involvement in Celia and Ray’s criminal activities. However, DS Walsh appeared skeptical of her claims.
In a twist, DS Walsh suggested that Moira may have benefited from the money Celia earned through her schemes, particularly amid challenges in the farming industry and following a slurry leak on her land. Alone in the interview room, Moira broke down in tears.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve spotted a potential plot hole that could clear Moira. Since the police seized the documents belonging to Celia, forensic tests should reveal that Moira never handled them.
On X, one fan questioned: “So you’re not gonna run those documents for fingerprints??? #emmerdale,” while another added: “Evidence??… one envelope of documents with none of her fingerprints on?? #Emmerdale.”

A third fan added: “Shouldn’t they check for fingerprints on those documents or Moira’s bank accounts to see if it all adds up, incompetent writers #Emmerdale.”
Another commented: “Why haven’t they checked for fingerprints? That’s what they would normally do, isn’t it? #Emmerdale.”
“Why aren’t they looking for fingerprints on that envelope? Moira wouldn’t be on there #Emmerdale,” wrote a different viewer.
