General Hospital rumors: Emotional memorials and a long-overdue exit on the way?

Posted on December 27, 2025

General Hospital (GH) rumors suggest plenty of intriguing information is circulating about possible upcoming storylines, and we’ve got all the details for you right here.

To begin with, General Hospital still needs to acknowledge the passing of several legendary actors. Denise Alexander, who portrayed Lesley Webber—Laura Spencer’s (Genie Francis) mother—passed away in March at the age of 85 from natural causes. Many fans are expecting the show to pay tribute to her in some way.

Then in August, the soap community sadly lost Tristan Rogers, best known for his role as Robert Scorpio. The character was recently mentioned on-screen as being in Europe with his daughter, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), and her mother, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

In Tristan’s final appearances, Robert was battling end-stage lung cancer, with his last episode airing in July, when the diagnosis was revealed. If the show moves forward with a full memorial tribute for Robert, it would be fitting to see appearances from Holly Sutton as well as his daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough).

Anthony Geary reportedly passed away recently, just days after experiencing complications from a planned surgery. Although Luke Spencer died on-screen some time ago, the show is set to air a rerun on New Year’s Day of Geary’s final episode as Luke—an encore from 2015.

This has led to speculation about whether General Hospital will air an additional tribute to acknowledge the legendary actor’s reported death in 2025. While nothing has been confirmed, sources suggest fans are expecting the show to honor his legacy in some way.

Another rumor centers on WSB Bureau Chief Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), who appears to have backed himself into a corner with his manipulative targeting of the Spencer women. If Jack meets his end, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) could potentially be involved.

There’s also speculation that Jack could be taken out by his subordinate, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). He has treated her poorly, and she has inherited her mother’s vengeful streak. If Jack were gone, it also raises the question of whether Joss would remain with the WSB at all.

Many fans have criticized the storyline, calling the idea of Joss as a top-tier spy on par with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) unrealistic. According to sources, the show may be planning to write Jack out in 2026—around the same time tributes are expected for Tristan Rogers and Denise Alexander.

Of course, these details remain firmly in rumor territory, but as the saying goes, where there’s smoke, there’s often fire.
