General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is sending a very pointed message to Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
The mayor is now desperately trying to persuade Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) to take Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) out of Port Charles. While his intention is to keep the young boy safe, could this move turn out to be the biggest mistake he’s ever made? Let’s explore the possibilities.
Jenz Sidwell’s Blackmail
After framing Laura to make it appear as though she had killed Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard), Sidwell ensured a henchman secretly captured photos. He then used these images to coerce Laura and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) into following his orders. While Laura did receive a sweet surprise with Kevin’s unexpected return, 2026 has started with more complications.
Charlotte Cassadine’s Troubling Report
Laura is under immense pressure, trying to manage multiple crises at once. It was thoughtful of Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to offer a helping hand to her grandmother. Laura initially wanted to keep Charlotte and Ace at home, but Charlotte was eager to take the little boy out to enjoy the nice day. Reluctantly, Laura agreed.
When Charlotte and Ace returned, Laura discovered that Sidwell had approached them both. The mayor also learned that the villain had issued a vague but threatening warning regarding Ace.

Laura Collins Under Extreme Pressure
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Laura is desperately trying to keep Ace safe. With Kevin receiving a teaching offer out of town, it seems like the ideal solution. Laura is determined to push her husband to take Ace somewhere secure.
However, in her frantic state and under immense pressure, Laura may be overlooking crucial clues that she would normally notice.
Could Ace Cassadine Be Kidnapped?
What if Kevin and Ace never reach their intended destination? Even worse, what if the person Laura trusts with Ace isn’t really Kevin? What if it’s Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)? That scenario would be horrifying and something Laura could never forgive herself for. It could also bring her closer to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and push her to take actions she wouldn’t normally consider.
Even though Ryan was previously shot by Mac Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), soap operas have a history of bringing “dead” villains back. With Kevin back in the picture, it seems only a matter of time before complications arise — involving multiple agencies and characters in the search for the missing boy.
Back in May 2025, Lindstrom even hinted that Ryan might return. While he was merely speculating on possible storylines, it could be a subtle tease for what’s coming.
