In the weekly ABC soap promo released Monday, January 12, Brad approaches Jason at General Hospital while Britt looks on. He warns Jason to stay away from her. Jason appears annoyed, and Britt looks furious. Their tension isn’t new — in the Friday, January 9 episode, Britt and Brad semi-bickered over her spending the night with Jason, though Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) interrupted.
Britt has been frustrated by Brad’s overprotectiveness, especially regarding Jason. She snapped something along the lines of, “Excuse me for wanting a personal life,” while Brad cautioned her that if things go wrong with Jason, she shouldn’t say he didn’t warn her.
Brad Sees Danger in Jason, Remembers the Past
Brad believes Jason will only bring trouble into Britt’s life. He also reminded her of the past when Jason dumped her for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). That breakup wasn’t entirely Jason’s fault, since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had returned alive from Nixon Falls, and Jason’s “marriage” to Carly was a strategic move to protect her and her family from rival mob families.
At the time, Jason and Carly were about to consummate their marriage when Sonny walked in, Carly fainted, and Jason fled. Britt didn’t fully understand what happened, leaving her deeply hurt — which is why admitting she still has feelings for Jason has been such a slow process.
Now that Britt and Jason are clearly reconnecting, Brad’s interference could create serious problems.
