General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will go to extreme lengths for her daughter, Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), and it looks like she’s about to prove just how far she’ll go.
No matter who ends up taking the fall for shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) — guilty or not — Nina doesn’t care. All that matters to her is that it isn’t her daughter. In fact, Nina would likely feel the same even if Willow were the shooter, and she’d probably back her attempt to cover it up.
It raises the question: who will be Nina’s next target as she tries to deflect suspicion away from Willow? Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) didn’t fare so well, which might make Nina hesitant to name more names.
Portia Was a Victim of Circumstance
Nina took significant risks and orchestrated moves to ensure Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) ended up with the information she believed was needed about Portia. While it was never the plan for Alexis or Nina to publicly expose Portia’s affair with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) in front of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), the attorney was trying to shift attention away from Willow.
Unfortunately, Portia was correct — Alexis didn’t get the outcome she wanted. Now, Drew is frustrated at Alexis for pursuing this angle, but he and Willow remain unaware that Nina was the one who guided her toward that target. Who will be next?
Nina Could Turn Her Focus on Drew’s Desperation
Don’t be surprised if Nina suddenly changes her approach toward Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). She’s determined to go after him, believing he may have set up Willow. While she’s unsure what to make of his alibi or his new relationship with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), her threats to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) signal a scenario where Michael — not Willow — could end up taking the fall.
Drew is eager to claim he remembers Michael being the shooter, and so far Nina has resisted, worried it would jeopardize Willow’s case. However, with few options left, she might decide to instruct Drew to speak up.
Charlotte Got a Temporary Reprieve
Recently, Nina was meant to gather information on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) from Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), but instead she tipped off Charlotte and warned her not to share any details about communicating with her father — not even with Nina.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is likely to confront Nina for this and increase the pressure, even threatening to ensure Willow faces consequences as easily as suppressing evidence.
Just because Nina protected Charlotte this time doesn’t mean she won’t manipulate her the next time they cross paths.
Can you see Nina betraying Charlotte if it means shielding Willow from the WSB? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out how this plays out.
