General Hospital spoilers hint that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has a knack for spotting lies, and she’s convinced that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is keeping something from her.
Many fans have suspected the same for a while, but that doesn’t automatically mean Michael tried to kill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Being at the scene doesn’t prove guilt—Tracy should know that better than anyone, since she’s been in similar situations herself.
Yet, Michael’s calm confidence is unsettling Tracy, as if he’s certain he won’t be held accountable.
At the same time, it seems like he could be in trouble if Drew and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) have their way. So, what exactly is Michael hiding? Let’s explore the possibilities.
He Could Be Guilty
The hard truth some may fear is that Michael actually did try to kill his uncle. This would fit with his past. He has a history of violence, yes, but he’s also endured it—experiences that could make him more likely to repeat the cycle. Add in the fact that he grew up with a mobster father, and his actions start to make sense.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) built his life on deception and survival, often taking extreme measures to protect himself and his family. If Michael followed in his father’s footsteps, seeking revenge for betrayal and heartbreak, it wouldn’t be shocking at all.
Michael Could Know Something Willow Doesn’t
It’s also possible that Michael is innocent. If he trusts that justice will prevail, it could explain why he seems certain he won’t be blamed. Perhaps he knows who really did it—maybe he witnessed the shooting firsthand.
Consider the timeline. Tracy arrived just after Drew was shot, finding him bleeding on his living room floor. Michael was leaving the scene around the same time. While the timing looks suspicious, it doesn’t necessarily mean Michael pulled the trigger.
Could he have seen Willow commit the act, even if she doesn’t remember it? That would explain his protective instincts regarding his kids and why he’s wary of her, suspecting she may be violent and unstable.
Michael Could Be Using the Truth Strategically
Michael might also be keeping quiet to serve his own purposes. If he knows who shot Drew, he could be letting Willow appear guilty to protect his children. He may even go so far as to track the real shooter, recover the weapon, and plant it somewhere to strengthen the case against her.
While this would make Michael complicit in framing Willow, the bigger question remains: who actually shot Drew? The list of suspects is long.
