Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan says she’s ready for romance in 2026 following her very public split from ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, and plans to open up to fans on a new podcast.
Former soap star Helen Flanagan is preparing to open her heart to love again this year. The Celebs Go Dating favourite had a difficult end to 2025 after a very public social media clash with her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair, 36.
Despite the drama, a source says Helen is feeling positive about what 2026 has in store. “Helen is absolutely ready to move on and find love again,” the insider shared. “She enjoys being in a relationship and hopes to meet someone she can truly trust and rely on. Feeling like part of a partnership is important to her, and she’s determined that any future partner will also love and respect her three children, who always come first.”
The 35-year-old former Coronation Street star is also planning to chronicle her search for love in a new podcast, which is expected to launch in the coming months. A source said she intends to be completely honest about her experiences.
“She’s going to be very open,” the insider explained. “This is set to be a big and positive year for Helen — she’s throwing herself into it. She’s feeling fearless at the moment and isn’t planning to hold anything back,” the source told the Mirror.
Scott, meanwhile, is the father of Helen’s three children — Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and four-year-old Charlie. Tensions between the former couple resurfaced in December after Helen criticised Scott for missing Charlie’s Christmas nativity play so he could attend the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Helen later aired her frustrations on Instagram, sharing a screenshot from Scott’s trip and publicly accusing him of letting their son down, expressing her anger over his absence from the school event.
An upset Helen later shared a heartfelt moment with her son following his performance, posting a photo captioned: “Loved Charlie’s nativity. My star, my heartbeat.” It has also been reported that she unfollowed Scott on social media in the aftermath of their row.
Alongside her upcoming podcast, Helen — best known for playing Rosie Webster on Coronation Street — is also preparing to release a new book later this month. Titled Head and Heart: Break-Ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, the book is expected to explore her career, her experiences as a mother, and the emotional highs and lows of her personal life.
According to a source, Scott may be in for some uncomfortable surprises. “Scott is preparing himself for the release of Helen’s book and podcast,” the insider claimed. “She feels she hasn’t been supported by him and isn’t afraid to speak openly about it. Helen feels deeply let down and wants people to understand her side of the story.”
Helen and former Bristol Rovers footballer Scott got engaged in May 2018 after he proposed during a trip to Disneyland Paris. However, the couple ended their 13-year relationship in 2022, and their split has been far from amicable.
After her split from Scott, Helen went on to find romance with former footballer Robbie Talbot during her appearance on Celebs Go Dating in 2024. However, their relationship came to an end last summer, with friends saying the pair ultimately wanted different things from life.
Helen later revealed she had decided to remain single for a while. Speaking in August, she said: “I’m taking a break from men for now. My focus is on my children, my work, moving house and spending time with friends. Ending things with Robbie hasn’t changed how I feel about love, but I do tend to always be in a relationship.
“I need some time to focus on myself and do a bit of inner work. I want to learn how to feel complete on my own rather than relying on a partner. I’ve had my struggles with men, so for now, I’m putting myself first.”
