The daughter of Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward and a former Premier League footballer has revealed she is expecting her first child, though she has been estranged from her mother.

The daughter of Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward has yet to tell her famous mum that she’s expecting a baby.
Mia, 20, revealed in 2024 that she was cut off by Sammy after she began selling photos on OnlyFans. Since then, the model has reportedly been estranged from both her mother and her father, former footballer David Dunn.
Mia has now confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child. However, she has not informed her parents about the baby, citing the stress that could come from reopening family tensions.
Speaking to The Sun, Mia said: “I haven’t reached out to them yet, and they don’t really know how to contact me. I am emotionally vulnerable while I’m pregnant, and I really don’t want a big, stressful situation.”

She added, “Now that I have my own baby inside me, I just couldn’t imagine not speaking to my child.”
Mia also revealed that she decided to quit her OnlyFans career as soon as she learned she was pregnant. However, she doesn’t regret her time on the platform, describing it as “the best year or two of my life, traveling the world for shoots with amazing people.”

She currently lives in the Lake District with the father of her unborn child. The couple have been together for a year, though Mia has not revealed his name.
Mia said she hopes to rebuild her relationship with her parents but acknowledged, “we’ve got a lot to work on.” She added that there is “a lot to forgive, and that process hasn’t even started yet.”
The model also mentioned that going shopping for baby clothes with her actress mum “would be a lovely thing to do.” She believes Sammy would be “an amazing grandma” and expressed her desire for her parents to be part of both her life and her child’s life.

In August 2024, Mia revealed that it had been several months since she last spoke with her mum, Sammy, who played Katie Sugden on the ITV soap from 2001 to 2015. She told The Sun: “She said some pretty mean things when we last spoke, it was awful. But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family, yet none of them speak to me now.”
Mia claimed that her family had sent her “abuse” over the phone, explaining: “At this point, it feels like it will have to be them reaching out to me, because I’ve tried to maintain contact in the past. They just don’t have any of it, and I end up getting all the abuse through texts, phone calls, and messages.”
Daily Star has previously reached out to Sammy’s representatives for comment.
Mia also said she remains in touch with one family member, though she has kept their identity private. She suggested that her mum might be “jealous” of her success on OnlyFans, but also believes her family may simply be “protective” of her.
