General Hospital star Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) had his ABC fans laughing this week with his priceless facial expressions. He and his wife, Michelle Lundstrom, are well-known for their kitchen adventures, but this time, Steve didn’t exactly seem impressed with her cooking.
The Viral Cheesecake
A particular recipe has been making the rounds online, going viral in recent days. Naturally, Michelle — a foodie influencer and former competitor on Netflix’s The American Barbecue Showdown — decided to give it a try.
While the couple usually enjoys tasting the delicious creations they make together, this time Steve gave it a very obvious thumbs-down. Michelle shared her attempt on Instagram because of its trending status, but Steve appeared puzzled about why the recipe had become so popular.
Two Versions of the Recipe
In her video, Michelle explained that the cheesecake she was making is a “two-ingredient” Japanese cheesecake. Normally, the recipe calls for Biscoff biscuits, but she swapped them out for cinnamon biscuits. She combined them with zero-fat Greek yogurt, pressed the cookies into the mixture, and then placed it in the fridge to set.
Steve didn’t have any issues with the first version, but the real-life Jason Morgan didn’t look particularly convinced. Next, Michelle whipped up her own “healthier” version. Instead of biscuits, she used very ripe bananas blended with pureed cottage cheese. She added a touch of maple syrup before putting it in the fridge to set.
Steve Burton thought it looked less than appetizing, but he gave it a taste anyway. His reaction — captured in his priceless facial expression — had General Hospital fans in stitches.
The General Hospital star really doesn’t need words to convey his feelings — his wide range of expressions made it clear to followers that the banana cheesecake was far from appealing.
