Emmerdale stars have recorded a spoof segment for the popular game show Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win.
One contestant appearing in this weekend’s episode is a huge fan of the ITV soap, and producers were keen to create a special surprise for her. They persuaded Emmerdale favourites Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb to take part in the sketch. In the scene, the pair discuss watching superfan Manisha and her husband Ricky take on Limitless Win, and they are even shown holding some of the couple’s personal items.
A source close to the show revealed: “Jeff and Natalie were brilliant. They filmed an in-character scene where they talked about watching Manisha and Ricky compete on the programme.”
The clip was shown to Manisha and Ricky while they were filming their episode of Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win, leaving both of them completely shocked. The insider continued: *“Manisha was utterly amazed. She’s a huge Emmerdale fan, so it was an incredible surprise.
“It really lifted her spirits while she was in the studio.”
The episode is due to air on Sunday at 8pm on ITV1.
It’s just one of several surprises planned for the new series. A source explained: *“The producers have really researched the contestants and set up quite a few surprises that will be featured throughout the series.
“It’s brought a whole new dimension to the show and has made plenty of people smile.”
Manisha decided to apply to be a contestant simply because she’s a huge fan of the programme.
She said: “We’re huge fans of the show. We’re the type of people who watch and shout at the TV, urging contestants to be decisive and give a precise answer.”
The Birmingham couple were hoping for a big win so they could invest in their home.
Manisha explained: “We’d love to extend our downstairs space.”
Ricky added: “If we won a million pounds, we could get a new house and go on an extravagant family holiday with our parents, siblings, and all the kids – that’s 20 people in total!”
