The much-anticipated Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover airs on Monday night, with a series of behind-the-scenes photos released ahead of the episode.

Corriedale has unveiled a collection of behind-the-scenes photos just hours before its landmark crossover airs on ITV.
It was confirmed last year that Emmerdale and Coronation Street would come together for a special one-off episode, bringing characters from both Weatherfield and the Dales together in an unprecedented event. The two productions have joined forces for what has been described as an “ambitious stunt” that will have “everlasting consequences for everyone involved.”
The build-up begins at 7am on Monday (January 5), when half-hour episodes of both soaps will be released on ITVX, before airing later on ITV1 at 7pm and 7.30pm. The Corriedale crossover episode will then air at 8pm, running for a full hour.

With just hours to go before the highly anticipated crossover airs, ITV has given viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Corriedale. While the action-packed episode promises “drama, secrets, lies, injuries and potential deaths,” newly released set photos reveal the fun the cast from both soaps had while working together.
Cast and crew from Coronation Street and Emmerdale filmed for three weeks in October on a disused road near Harrogate, Yorkshire. They worked side by side to shoot the dramatic multi-vehicle pile-up, and once filming wrapped, the tears quickly turned into laughter.
Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Platt on Coronation Street, said: “There was such a brilliant atmosphere on set. It was really special getting to work with the Emmerdale cast and crew. Working with new people definitely helped during the night shoots, and we kept the energy up with coffee and plenty of sugary treats!”

Danny Miller, who portrays Aaron Dingle on Emmerdale, added: “The night shoots were great fun and it’s been brilliant working with the Corrie team. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the episode unfolds, with storylines from both Emmerdale and Corrie coming together. It’s going to be epic and truly a soap fan’s dream.”
Following the broadcast, viewers will be able to enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the making of Corriedale via Corriedale Backstage Pass, airing at 9pm on ITVX, ITV3 and YouTube.
Hosted by Luis Elkes, the one-off special is packed with cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, offering audiences the ultimate insider look and capturing the excitement of the two soap worlds colliding.

“Corriedale is only the beginning of the drama, as the aftermath of the crash unleashes fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely guarded secrets and lies,” the official synopsis teases.
“Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again.”
Both Coronation Street and Emmerdale have delivered a dramatic week in the lead-up to the crossover. In the Dales, Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) reign of terror finally ended when she was killed by her son, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom). However, the same sense of closure has not arrived for John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), who recently returned to Emmerdale in a bid to win back his husband, Aaron.
Meanwhile, Weatherfield residents travelled to Yorkshire to celebrate the wedding of Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), but the reception was quickly thrown into chaos as several secrets came to light. Back on the cobbles, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) continued his search for the truth about Carla Connor (Alison King) after villain Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) held her hostage over Christmas.
