A beloved Coronation Street star has received an outpouring of heartfelt messages after sharing a touching marriage milestone on social media.
Adam Rickitt, known for his role as Nick Tilsley on the long-running ITV soap, first appeared on our screens in 1997, quickly winning fans over with his captivating performances.
He left the show in 1999 to pursue a music career but made a much-anticipated return to the cobbles from 2002 to 2004. Since then, Adam has continued to appear on television, with roles in shows including Hollyoaks and the BBC’s Doctors.
Off-screen, Adam is happily married to Good Morning Britain presenter Katy Rickitt. Their romance began in 2011 when Katy interviewed Adam on GMB, sparking a love story that continues to this day.
The couple tied the knot three years later in a magical winter ceremony in December 2014, according to the Mirror. Recently, they shared the heartbreaking news of losing their beloved pet, Daphne.
On Saturday (December 20), Adam took to Instagram to pay tribute to his wife, Katy, as they marked their 11th wedding anniversary. He posted several photos of the couple, captioning them: “11 years my bean. Thank you for jumping with me.”
“Every day I feel like someone is going to realise just how unbelievably lucky I am to have you in my life. You are my best friend, my lover, my soulmate… my person @katyrickitt. Here’s to all the moments still to come x.”
Adam’s followers quickly filled the comments with heartfelt messages. One fan wrote: “Such a beautiful couple! Happy anniversary to you both. Luck comes to those who truly deserve it.”
Katy replied: “I always think I can’t love you any more than I do already… and then I just do. Thank you, sweetheart.” Another follower added: “Aww, you two! Happy anniversary.”
This comes after recent heartache for Adam and Katy, who lost their beloved dog, Daphne. The couple shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.
Posting several photos of Daphne, Katy confirmed her passing, revealing that both she and Adam were completely “blindsided” by the loss.
