Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown has shared details of her new role ahead of her emotional departure from the ITV soap.
Channique, who has portrayed lawyer Dee-Dee Bailey on Corrie for the past three years, confirmed her exit in October, with her final scenes due to air tomorrow night (Friday, December 19).
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday (December 18), the actress revealed her next project to host Lorraine Kelly.
She explained: “I’m writing a play for Hope Mill Theatre with HER Productions, in collaboration with a charity called Her Place. It’s incredibly important work focusing on social care and women whose children are taken into care.”
