Emmerdale fans were stunned on Monday night as Meena Jutla made a dramatic TV return

Emmerdale fans were quick to react in unison on Monday night as Meena Jutla made a major TV return.
Monday’s episode of The Big Quiz: Coronation Street v Emmerdale featured its annual segment in which the Emmerdale cast had to guess a former character from a series of “blast from the past” clues.
When they correctly guessed Meena Jutla, actress Paige Sandhu entered the studio and reunited with her former co-stars.
Fans will recall that Meena is currently serving a life sentence for multiple village murders and was last seen in 2022 when she was taken to prison.
Host Stephen Mulhern asked Paige: “Listen, just 19 months and Meena made such an impression — what was it like to play her?” Paige replied: “It was so fulfilling, so fun. Working with these guys was amazing — that’s all I can say!”

Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas Dingle, was quick to praise her former co-star: “She was absolutely amazing. Seeing the clips, she needs to come back!”
Host Stephen Mulhern, 48, then asked: “If she ever got out and returned to the village, who would she murder first?” Paige Sandhu quickly replied: “Manpreet!” — referring to Meena’s sister.
On Twitter, now X, viewers shared their excitement and echoed the same demand. One wrote: “MEENA!!!!! #Emmerdale #bigsoapquiz”, another said: “I miss Meena #TheBigQuiz #Emmerdale”, while a third joked: “Paige come back, I have a list for Meena #Emmerdale.”

Elsewhere, another soap fan wrote: “Meena was one of the best villains in #Emmerdale history!! #TheBigQuiz”, while a different account added: “Meena mention! #TheBigQuiz #TheBigSoapQuiz #Emmerdale”. Another viewer commented: “Meena on The Big Quiz!! #Emmerdale” with celebratory emojis.
Since leaving Emmerdale, actress Paige Sandhu, 33, has rarely posted on Instagram, but when she does, she gives her 63K followers a glimpse into her fitness journey.
Last year, Paige shared her progress on social media, revealing she has been following an intense workout routine that has helped her feel more toned and confident. In one Instagram post, she showed off her sculpted abs in sportswear, impressing fans.
Away from Emmerdale, Paige has also taken a leading role in the upcoming feature film Lioness, where she portrays Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, Queen Victoria’s goddaughter.

The film is based on the research of historian Peter Bance, who documented the life of the princess.
In addition to being Queen Victoria’s goddaughter, she was also the Princess of Punjab and the granddaughter of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, playing a prominent role in the UK’s suffragette movement.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Paige said: “I’m so excited for the world to learn about Sophia, her family, and the remarkable life she led.”
