“Emmerdale star Lisa Riley had to release a statement after being flooded with congratulations following false pregnancy rumours.”

Emmerdale favourite Lisa Riley has been forced to respond to cruel pregnancy rumours, which surfaced after she spoke openly about her struggles with fertility.
The actress, best known for her role as Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, appeared as a guest panellist on Loose Women earlier this week, joining Kaye Adams, Oti Mabuse, and Janet Street Porter for a frank discussion.
During the conversation, Lisa — who has been in a relationship with her partner Al since 2014 — spoke candidly about her journey with fertility and how she ultimately came to accept that motherhood wasn’t in the cards for her.
The soap star explained that she had devoted much of her time to building her career, and when she and Al were finally ready to start a family, she discovered she was unable to conceive.

“I’ve shared a lot about my personal life,” Lisa admitted. “Being a Catholic, I was raised with the message that you don’t use contraception and don’t have sex before marriage. That stayed with me for a long time. Later, I focused on my career — there weren’t apps to track your cycle back then — so I waited… waited… found the right person in Al. But when it came time to try for a family, I couldn’t get pregnant. I would have given everything to have a child.”
Opening up further about her fertility struggles, Lisa added: “I wasn’t that lucky. I tried everything until Al finally told me, ‘You need to stop all the IVF treatments because it’s taking a toll on you — it’s changing your personality, and you’re pushing yourself too hard.'”

“Sometimes in life, things just aren’t meant to be,” Lisa told the Manchester Evening News. “I have to sit here with you girls knowing that. But I am very lucky because I have a family unit. My nephew and niece are a huge part of my life.”
Just days after speaking openly about her fertility struggles and inability to conceive, Lisa was bombarded with congratulatory messages following false pregnancy rumours.
Responding on her Instagram Story, the I’m A Celebrity star fired back: “This is no one’s fault except fake news, clickbait, and seriously — what world do we live in? I am 100% not pregnant.”
She added: “I’ve been flooded with congratulations today. And do you know what makes it even more upsetting? Only this week on Loose Women, I was talking about the fact that Al, my other half, and I couldn’t have children.”

She continued: “We tried IVF and it didn’t work. Yet some very strange people feel the need to clickbait and spread fake news claiming I’m pregnant. Well, I’m not. Honestly, with clickbait, AI, and all the nonsense in this world… there, that’s yours,” she said, raising her middle finger defiantly.
Lisa ended her video with a firm clarification: “Just to be clear, I’m not pregnant. If I were, I might have mentioned it! So when you read something, check the person’s social media — if they haven’t said anything, it’s probably fake news.”
She also captioned the post with a plea to followers: “The truth… FROM ME! Stop believing all the lies on here PLEASE… FAKE NEWS is getting out of hand!”
Fans quickly showed their support. @eloisecm_ commented: “So sorry this is happening to you, Lisa!” @nuttyhairdresser added: “Sending lots of love, Lisa. Don’t know what’s wrong with these people.”
@carolyn_catling echoed the sentiment: “Sending lots of love. The gossips are just that — gossips. Nothing else to do.” @sally66j wrote: “What is wrong with people? Why lie? Such a vile and hateful thing to do! Well done for calling them out.”
@tonimyhill1 also expressed support: “So sorry they’ve done this to you. How horrible, especially after you and Al’s IVF didn’t work. That’s mean and disgusting. Hope you’re okay.”
