Fans showed their support for the actress following the announcement

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has confirmed her return to work after taking a break from the Dales to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle, flew to Australia last month to join fellow contestants including Aitch, Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty, Martin Kemp, and Alex Scott in the jungle.
After bravely facing Ant and Dec’s tough bushtucker trials, Lisa was the eighth contestant to be eliminated. She has now returned home and resumed work.
Sharing a clip of her walk in the rain to ITV’s studios, Lisa said: “It’s a wet morning, and she’s not going back to the jungle — she’s heading to her first day back at work after the jungle.”

“Here we go — back to work, back to Emmerdale, where I belong.
Thank you, jungle, you’ve been amazing. But you know what comes next? I’ve got to put Mandy Dingle’s tabard back on! It’s been a while!”
Lisa received plenty of support from her followers, including fellow soap star and I’m A Celebrity campmate Shona McGarty, who left red hearts on the post.
One fan wrote: “Have a great day back at work,” while another commented: “This series of the jungle was unlike any other — no political arguments or fights. It was so refreshing to see strangers become friends. You seem like one of the genuinely loveliest people in the world x.”

Another fan shared: “Bet that feels both strange and amazing at the same time.”
This follows Lisa admitting that her time on I’m A Celebrity was “everything I wanted it to be and so much more.”
However, she revealed that she experienced a low point in camp, feeling “alone” and “vulnerable”, and turned to her late mother for comfort.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I sat there by myself and had a little word with my mum. I spoke to all my angels up there — I’m so blessed — but especially her.”

“I was like, ‘Mum, I need some strength. I need to get through this. I’m struggling, and it’s really hard.’”
She reflected on the aftermath of the fish gut challenge, describing it as the “toughest time” she faced. She added: “I felt alone, vulnerable… the challenge really takes it out of you, and there’s that pressure that you’ve got to do well, you’ve got to provide.”
Recalling her return to camp after the trial, she said: “We left camp so quickly that morning, I hadn’t prepared any clean clothes. I had nothing — everything was soaked.
So there I was, smelling like a wet fish market nine times over, covered in green stuff in the heat. I was sitting on the bottom step of the Telegraph all on my own. I just needed a moment to myself.”
