“Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan, known for her role as April Windsor, has been cast in a new film alongside Bridgerton’s Martins Imhangbe.”
Emmerdale actress Amelia Flanagan has landed a new film role beyond her work on the ITV soap.
The 17-year-old has portrayed April Windsor since 2014 and is the older sister of twins Isabella and William Flanagan, who play Hope Dobbs and Joseph Brown in rival ITV drama Coronation Street.
In recent Emmerdale storylines, April has been caught up in dark plots involving drug dealing, human trafficking, and sex trafficking, manipulated by villains Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
The young actress was also left traumatised after believing she had killed a menacing client named Callum, following his attack on her, when she struck him with a vodka bottle.

Callum is still alive, though April has yet to learn the truth about his condition.
This week, Emmerdale focuses on the circumstances surrounding Ray’s murder, following his death shortly after he fatally stabbed his mother, Celia, according to the Express.
A series of flashbacks reveals Ray’s final moments, with multiple residents now under suspicion for his killing, including Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who made a shocking return from the dead.
Amid all the drama in the Dales, Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan has also been confirmed to appear in the upcoming film The Rebooted.
The production also stars Gerard Christopher (Superboy), Primeval actor Andrew Lee Potts, Bridgerton’s Martins Imhangbe, Love Island’s Liberty Poole, and Married at First Sight’s Arthur Poremba.
On Wednesday (January 21), Panchariya Brothers Productions confirmed Amelia Flanagan’s involvement in the upcoming film via Instagram.
They shared: “Meet the cast of The Rebooted (2026), a @panchariyabrothersproductions film, written and directed by @mjrowney.
“The film features Gerard Christopher (Superboy), Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval), Stephanie Waring (Hollyoaks), Wilson James (Lucky Man), Billy Downes (Lost in London), and Amelia Flanagan (Emmerdale), alongside Martins Imhangbe (Bridgerton).”

They added: “Joining them is an exciting mix of on-screen talent and social media stars, including Liberty Poole (Love Island), Dan Spragg (Ghost Hunter Investigations), Arthur Poremba (MAFS UK), Andrea Vasiliou (Krypton), and Craig Berry, an acclaimed West End performer. More updates coming soon.”
The Rebooted will mark Amelia Flanagan’s film debut. Outside of Emmerdale, she has only appeared in one other show, Mini Moguls in 2018, where she played Grace.
Amelia is expected to continue her role as April Windsor on Emmerdale.
