General Hospital spoilers tease that Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) has been hiding some huge secrets — and many fans are loving it. Unfortunately, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may not feel the same way.
Willow recently came clean to Nina about the real reason she married Drew: to regain access to her children and have those inconvenient attempted murder charges dismissed. Honestly, it seemed like she might lie low a little longer before making another bold move, but Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) small gesture of goodwill just before her trial wrapped up may have pushed her into action sooner than expected.
If Drew is removed from the picture, what’s stopping Willow from seeing her kids again? Possibly nothing — unless she’s just turned herself into an attempted murderer all over again. As the truth begins to unravel, will Nina be able to handle what her daughter has become?
Will She Go All the Way?
By now, we know Nina well enough to predict her reaction. She’ll likely justify every one of Willow’s choices. After all, she despises Drew and wouldn’t exactly be heartbroken if he were permanently out of the equation.
If things spiral, Nina would almost certainly help Willow cover her tracks. Offering a fake alibi wouldn’t even give her pause. Still, that plan may already be flawed — Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) briefly stopped by after Nina had already left. Will Chase protect Willow and risk his badge even further? And is Drew heading for a hospital bed — or something far worse?
Willow Isn’t as Innocent as She Appears
Did anyone miss that needle plunged into Drew’s neck on Monday? Willow clearly isn’t bluffing. The second she was alone with Drew, she set the next phase of her plan into motion — and it looks like it’s going to be explosive.
Just because Willow has been partially honest with Nina about why she married Drew doesn’t mean she trusts her. Nor does it mean she’s forgiven Nina for sleeping with the man she once loved.
If Willow still has plans for Drew, there’s a strong chance she isn’t finished dealing with her mother either.
The Final Blow for Nina?
After years of believing she could never have children, Nina committed mistakes that still haunt her. While she may now be close to Ava Jerome (Maura West), it’s easy to forget that Nina once kidnapped Ava’s daughter. She was barely healing when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) pulled her into Charlotte Cassadine’s (Bluesy Burke) life — only for Nina to disappear to Nixon Falls when things became overwhelming.
Discovering that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was her daughter was devastating enough — not only because Nelle was already dead, but because she was deeply unstable. Now, being forced to confront the possibility that Willow has also crossed a dangerous line may be the hardest blow yet.
