Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan revealed she believed she was being watched, filmed, hunted and possibly drugged after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.

Helen Flanagan feared her children “were going to be taken away” during a period of mental health struggles.
The former Coronation Street star recently spoke about her relationship with ex-boxer David Haye. At 35, Helen shares her experiences in her new autobiography, Head and Heart.
The Celebs Go Dating star revealed that after an adverse reaction to prescription medication, she felt she was being “watched, filmed, hunted, possibly even drugged.” She was later diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
Her situation worsened following her split from footballer Scott Sinclair, when she became addicted to the medication. Helen told the Mirror: “It was the worst time that I’ve ever struggled with my mental health.”

“I do think the medication was really bad for me, but I became dependent on it,” she said. “Everything became overwhelming, and I began experiencing psychosis.
“I believed I was being watched, filmed, hunted and possibly even drugged. I was seeing things that weren’t real, which was incredibly frightening. I feared my children would be taken away, and the nursery became involved.”
Helen shares three children with Scott — Matilda, 10, Delilah, 7, and Charlie, 4. The couple separated in 2022 after 13 years together.

Discussing her split from Scott and romance with David Haye, she added: “He [Scott] really wasn’t playing fair. So I had quite a lot of financial stuff going on as well and the stress of solicitors. I was also totally heartbroken after David Haye.”
Helen admitted she ‘fell in love’ with the former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion. However, she denied being part of a “throuple” with him and his girlfriend Sian Osborne.
In her interview with Daily Mail, she said: “The relationship that I had with David was just David on his own. My evenings were just spent with him, that’s what only ever happened.”

When asked if she had been part of the “throuple,” Helen replied: “No, no, no, not at all.” She became emotional when recalling the time she bought David Haye a Cartier Trinity bracelet for his birthday and delivered it to his hotel.
She said: “Did I put that in the book? Oh, God, that actually makes me cry. I don’t know… Sorry. It’s really hard. That’s a bit embarrassing.”
Helen added: “Why did I do that? Because I wanted him to love me properly.” The mum-of-three also reflected: “It was such a toxic situation. Since then, I’ve learned to love myself and become a stronger woman.”
